The lineup has taken shape for this month's Cage Warriors 48 event.

As previously announced, the event takes place July 21 at HMV Forum in London.

A total of five main-card bouts will stream live on MMAjunkie.com, including a headliner between middleweight-tournament semifinalists John Phillips (15-5) vs. Faycal Hucin (7-3), the winner of which could advance to the finals if Victor Cheng isn't cleared for his Aug. 30 bout with Pavel Kusch.

The eight-man tournament kicked off earlier this year, and the winner earns Cage Warriors' middleweight title.

Also slated for Cage Warriors 48 card are welterweights Aaron Wilkinson (9-5) vs. Leigh Cohoon (8-5), and welterweights Jack Mason (20-10) vs. Danny Roberts (6-1).

New additions include middleweights Brett Sizeland (6-1) vs. Denniston Sutherland (16-8) and flyweights Brian Hyslop (5-1) vs. Kris Edwards (7-3).

Sizeland has won three straight Cage Warriors fights following stoppages of Craig White, Brett Bassett and Victor Peixoto. He now meets Sutherland, who opened his career with a 14-4 mark before a recent 2-4 skid and back-to-back knockout losses to Andrew Punshon and Jake Bostwick in late 2011.

Edwards, meanwhile, made his promotional debut with a unanimous-decision victory over Janne Elonen-Kulmala at Cage Warriors Fight Night 5. He now looks for his sixth win in seven fights when he drops a weight class to fight Hyslop, a promotional newcomer who recently rebounded from his first career loss with a decision victory over Declan Williams (6-4 at the time) in Scotland.

Cage Warriors 48's prelims, which stream on Facebook, including heavyweights Dayman Lake (2-2) vs. Jay Mortimore (6-3), welterweights Piotr Ptasinski (3-1) vs. Jacek Toczydlowski (4-2), and middleweights Nick Nembhard (1-2) vs. Charlie Watts (2-0).

I'll update this a little later.

Just like in boxing, small guys are entertaining in MMA...speed, agility, and cardio that can't be matched by bigger guys. There have been so many good fights in the WEC since the Zuffa buyout...

Which is why I think people underestimate the lower weight guys. They have something that heavier guys and even middleweight guys don't have. The same can be said about women's MMA.
