Big toe injury - please advise!

went over on the knuckle of my big to about 10 weeks ago - still painful! Irritating as reflex seems to be stopping me from being able to kick well with that leg.

Any suggestions to help healing? Its not fractured - have had x ray so am assuming its some kind of ligament damage. Any ideas?

Could be turf toe just ice it at night and heat. Try taping it nice and tight before training and go easy on it for a while. If it continues I would go see a specialist

If it happened over 2 months ago then I would just go to a doctor.

Sounds like turf toe. Was exactly what I went through with it because I wasn't stretching my feet enough. It can linger a long time. I had to tape my foot up for a solid month before it got any better.

Toe injuries take a looooong ass time to heal.

I sprained my toe and it took me several months to heal.

A friend of mine sprained her toe and it took her almost 6 months to heal.

I think the problem is that we cant stop using it. Just walking might aggravate it.

I dont know though. That is just my experience.

I may go to the doc - although been for xray and was just told to take ibuprofen. Been a bit lax on that - was told to take "a course" ie 3 a day for a week but have probably taken 2 in total

have noticed it hardly hurts at all when in a hot bath.....

thanks for advice so far all further advice welcome!!!
