Drug Addict, who happena to be an MMA fighter murders his friend.

Just saw this article about a drug addict that killed his friend while on some kind of Mushroom. They put that he is an MMA fighter in the title like that had anything to do with it.

Quote:
A Northern California mixed-martial artist accused of ripping out his friendís heart and removing his tongue while the two were on hallucinogenic drugs has pleaded guilty to murder and mayhem charges.

I looked him up and he apparently has had one fight. If you really want to see some ignorance read some of the article's comments.

Why do you have an issue with him being mentioned as a fighter? You always see "A 43 year old stock broker...."

Did you read the article?
He was not a mma fighter, he was exactly as the title stated, I remember when this happened and it was being portrayed in the news as " just your typical mma fighter" and they really tried to make it sound like it was because he was a fighter, not because he was a bottle job..

I took issue with the way they portrayed it.

They do that with anything. News reports at all times will use locations, race, religion, occupation, pasttimes etc. to support their point in an article.

And tbh, I'd say more MMA guys are crazy than not, but all the good ones are diciplined and intelligent.

Sorry if there is another thread. The article was dated Sept. 8th so I assumed it just happened. I looked through the first couple of pages and didn't see anything, I guess I should have searched.
