Managing pre-fight anxiety

Right guys. I have my first fight in 13 days and I am feeling quite anxious and am struggling to sleep. Does anybody have any advice in terms of things to read, things to do and what they have done in the past to manage their anxiety pre-fight. Any help would be much appreciated. Thankyou.

Just try to do some activities that distract you so you don't think all the time about the fight. You can also try some meditation. And don't trouble yourself too much about being anxious. That's normal. Some are more anxious, others are less. Even Mike Tyson said that before a fight he was so anxious that he sometimes had to vomit, but once he stepped into the ring all the anxiety was gone.

Havn't seen ya in a while.

As GSP and his trainer say everyone has butterflies, it's about flying them in formation. Since you're already thinking about it, you might as well visualize all the potential outcomes in a calm and methodical manner. When that time comes you'll be fully prepared.

Everything happens twice, once in the metaphysical realm and in reality.

There's no way around it other than experience and self control.

Anything else is temporary like reading a book, watching a film, fishing, although it can be helpful to ease the mind.

PS: Don't take sleeping pills.

Marcus Aurelius: Tell me again, Maximus, why are we here?
Maximus: For the glory of the Empire, sire.

Baked, not fried... the healthy choice.
