With elite level wrestling and elite level bjj I think you could get to the middle of the pack. But no striking means no gnp and it also means you're ****ed against a guy you can't hold down or a guy who just wants to grab on and stall to get a stand up.

BUT:

There are no pure strikers wihtout any wrestling and grappling knowledge around in the UFC anymore. Today there are only MMAists, often with preferences, but MMAists nonetheless.

True that all fighters in MMA are of mixed disciplines, but they always have a origin discipline. Like wrestlers still come from wrestling. Kickboxers still come from kickboxing, BJJ comes from BJJ and they all incorporate other disciplines into their style.
