What's up with that? thoughts anyone? Personally I feel like Nova Uniao should have won it. They were streets ahead of all the gyms on that list, short of maybe AKA.

MMA Fighting will have the World MMA Awards 2012 results for Friday night's ceremony at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Ronda Rousey leads the pack in this year's nominations. The Strikeforce bantamweight champion is a finalist for the Fighter of the Year, Women's Fighter of the Year, Breakthrough Fighter of the Year, and Submission of the Year.

I'm actually quite displeased with the Charles "Mask" Lewis Fighter of the Year winner. Seriously, Bones? Must be nice to be able to completely destroy a Bentley, be the reason a card is cancelled, leaving many fighters unpaid and yet still pick up such a prestigious award. Honestly, it's a tad ridiculous. Don't even get me started on personality of the year. I mean come on, we all know that Rogan worked the first events under the Zuffa banner for free, but that was years ago. 2012 is a whole new year, a whole new ball game.

I would rather Joe win it than any of the other nominees, aside from maybe Bas. Mauro? What the hell is he doing there?
