Pride LWGP official date!!
So they came out and said that they are starting the LWGP in July. We have to wait so long for the next Pride event which will be Pride 35 which is supposed to be sometime in June and will be the first event run under the Fertitta's.
So we have months to go before we see the next Pride event. Damn.

Wow, so long until Pride 35 and the GP. I am kind of disappointed. There are ALOT of Pride fighters that have not fought since like 06. I think that 35 will probley be stacked.

Yeah, I am hoping that it will be stacked with some good fighters. I cant wait to see how the shows are going to be. I hope that it is not like the UFC PPV's where you only get to see four or five fights. I loved Pride for the awesome shows that they put on.

I dont want the spots to be all taken up by the top guys. I kind of like the march madness kind of thing where you let a couple lower tier guys fight to show their stuff. Guys like Ryuta Sakurai can make great names for themselves by coming into these tournaments pretty much an unknown and beating a top fighter.

Yeah, that would be better for the LWGP, but I would like to see many of the top fighters fight at Pride 35 since there are so many good fighters that havent fought recently.

well, the interesting thing, is that the final round of the GP has to be in Japan... unless they UFC-Gayenize it and make them sepparate the final rounds...
Fertettas buying PRIDE... there's goods, and bads...

Since it's in July I'd rather wait until August just to see Nick Diaz return. They need BJ Penn, Sean Sherk, Hermes Franca, Takanori Gomi and Nick Diaz to be added to this. Imagine the matches in a torunament with all thoes names plus Matt Hughes, Diego Sanchez and GSP (he should try make weight for it).
