Actually it's going to go from 18 to 18 equally. They are basically reshuffling the number of divisions. Instead of seven men's weight classes in greco and freestyle and four in women's it'll be six across the board.

I am happy about this decision. Wrestling is as important as boxing, so if that could be a olympic sport, so can wrestling.

I'd argue that wrestling is more important than boxing in the Olympics.

Ahhh boxing is fun though. For history and of course MMA selfishness, I want wrestling to stay, but really it's sooo boring to watch for me.

Also, I know we all hate it because as MMA fans we are subjected to the uneducated point of view, but I'll annoy you guys with it...wrestling is gay. The aim of the sport is to lie on top of a muscled man in spandex for a certain amount of time.

Reminds me of my sensei. We do throws, and as always you jump in with your hip, almost ass first, to get the leverage to throw them. He comes out with "I know if feels weird, but just forget about it". It wasnt weird until you mentioned it maaaan

Sorry . Was talking about it to a mate the other day when he said he wouldnt mind doing wrestling. I mean in MMA format, it would have different feeling to it (less spandex singlets for one), but the whole "The entire idea is to grab a man, hold him close, and then pin him to the ground" thing would really make it uncomfortable haha

Ok, I'm going to consider your comments made out of ignorance and try not to be offended anymore cause that doesn't help things at all.

BJJ: A sport with an objective to break someone's bones or choke them unconscious.

Wrestling: A sport with the objective of pinning someone to the floor.
