That's the objective of BJJ, but have you ever been to a practice? Most of the starting positions would be considered sexual if taken completely out of context.

Also i'm not really sure how pinning someone to the floor has anything to do with sex. Sounds more like sexual assault.

Yeah most starting positions in wrestling are not sexual by any means. Not that I'm in any way putting down BJJ because both sports are a form of grappling. Also I agree people are just insecure at times.

Such a peculiar decision. If there's two sports that I would imagine to have permanent status it would be track/field and wrestling.

Today was a good day!

This. It's beyond comprehension that we could have an Olympics without the two rawest forms of competition mentioned above.

The Olympics are about worldly competition to see who's the best, the viewership angle to me is a crap shoot. Want ratings, watch a professional sport (NHL/NFL).

Wrestling is the the oldest & purest form of competition

All I'm saying that if you take out the strikes and submissions from MMA...you have two guys holding each other.

and if you take pole out of fishing you have drunk people on the water.
and if you take the clubs and balls out of golf you have a nature walk.
and if you take the the intelligence out of a post you get some bloke from glasgow.

wrestling is it's own sport: points given for pinning and reversals and control, just like half the other sports used in mma. because mma does not use points, it does not make karate, tkd, sambo, judo or wrestling any less legitimate.

unless of course you're say all male on male contact is homosexual, which makes me wonder how handshakes and your father holding you is perceived on your own perspective. actually, no.... i don't really care about your perspective.

I don't like Skyrim. Do I also not understand the concept of video gaming whatsoever?

Handshakes? If you consider a handshake to be a sexual act, you're in for a treat the first time you get yourself a sugar frosty.

Whenever there's a guy wrestlefuking someone in MMA, I find it to be the most boring affair ever. When you get someone passing to gain position for submissions and strikes, that's a different conversation all together, but when someone is just using their boring hold onto another guy and pin him to the floor I find it to be the most awful display possible.

Yes, lay and pray is one of the most boring game plans in MMA. As a wrestler I personally don't like it either cause that isn't even pure wrestling. I'd prefer seeing ground and pound in a fight if it's a wrestler doing the take downs.

But there is no ground and pound in wrestling. Essentially the objective of the sport is lay and pray.
