Same with Ong Bak, so I guess my entry above shouldn't really count because Nick was a world champion LHW Muay Thai fighter and has only acted in that one movie.

That's why there is mostly such a horrible acting in martial arts movies. They usually just take some real martial arts practitioners without any real acting formation. There is a reason why most good actors have spend years in renowned acting schools before they became famous.

In one of the Bruce Lee film/documentaries, I think Dragon: The Bruce Lee story. They took an actor that looked like bruce and taught him martial arts, rather than take a martial artist and teach them how to act.

Not saying it was any kind of in depth training but I guess they need only teach him the moves he needs to know then camera angles and Hollywood trickery done the rest.

As a few mentioned, Tony Jaa and Michael Jaa White are the main two that spring to mind.

How would Teryy Crews do? Dude's HUGE and seems to be into cardio a bit as well.

Yes I should have included at least Michael Jay White and Terry Crews on this list. Obviously my brainstorming skills aren't always on pare. This was one of those cases but I hope you all are entertained with my planned Halloween Series of top 10s.

Posted before, but some may haven't see it yet. Gotta luv Michael J.
Michael Jai White fun instruction with Kimbo Slice:

You don't have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.

Good list but lacks a few guys:

Wesley Snipes and Michael Jai White. Also not an action star but Ed O' Neill would probably sub all of them.

You should do the same list with pro wrestlers next.

I did have a list of pro wrestlers planned but it was along the lines of fighters who did pro wrestling but also did MMA. So that would include Ken Shamrock, Dan Sever, Josh Barnett, those guys. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll probably incorporate just pro wrestlers as well. Good suggestion dude.
