I used to cry when crocop lost.

Now its like....

**** it... thats life.

CroCops comments arent as bad or dumb as they seem.

He said it was nice that they came over. But believes that Dana White wont appreciate it. I dont think that comment is dumb or anything. Im not sure Dana will care cause this is a second rate organization. But if they did that to Bellator Dana would be pissed.

And this wasnt written down in the article so for people who did not watch the video right after he does say that he likes all of those guys but just thinks from a professional perspective its a bad idea. He also says that they are a new organization so not a Rival to the UFC but they are trying to grow. He admits that he might watch the fights live but even that he would have to think about BUT would never sit at the press conference and take pictures in-front of a different companies logo and greet people.

People have their opinions. This isnt a particular dumb one.

Thought Crocop was slated to fight against The Grim Reaper.
He looked like a technical rookie there. Like nothing of the younger CroCop was left. No ring awareness, no circling, no timing. Then almost having a triangle, but crossing the legs the wrong way. Either he threw that fight or should retire if he still has the intention to win fights, but fights like that.

K-1 CroCop still has some life in him, he should never venture into MMA again.

If you can call that a neck crank. He was caught in kesa gatame in I believe Japanese (judo) or a scarf hold in english (sambo and I think some jiu jitsu though its not as prevalent in JJ because they feel its too easy to get your back taken.) It is a heavy position and you donr feel like you can move at all but its pretty far from a submission to anyone who's felt it. No one with any kind of experience is going to tap in that position. Because the force while unfomfortable isn't overwhelming. If he tapped to anything it was a smother not a crank. It looked more to me like CC had just never been in that position and the weight in his chest was heavy and he tapped because he thought he was in more trouble than he was.

Fyi Kesa Gatatme is pronounced like "case-ah katami."

Yes, Newton caught Pat in what catch wrestlers would call a bulldog choke. It's a pretry brutal choke essentially a reverse gullitone. Which is nothing at all like a scarfhold/kesa gatame.

I enjoyed the breakdown. You should do these more often...Graice style.

I try to do them whenever there is some kind of discussion involving technique or whenever I get asked obviously. Most of the people on the board are educated enough that they don't generally need any kind of break down though.

Your breakdown was a little bit more in depth and intricate. We know the just of it, but from what I can see there's always something we miss that the pros see. You know the the minute details, positioning or having the right or wrong technique. We've all been in those positions where we're thinking, why isn't this submission working...lolz!

I was wondering why Crocop tapped out to that, and your explanation made sense. I think there was a lot of pressure on his neck, but more that he didn't know what to do...which is kinda sad really considering the years of experience he has.
