the entrances that PRIDE had were just awesome, inspirational to a point...the GPs were great in determining a new king of the hill in MMA...

Said this before, and i will say this again.......
Better rule make better fighters
The calibur of fighters will lower in a global scale, dah well it's what happens when American's get involved with anything, they just tend to ruin what ever it is that they do.... dah well guess it life.......

I will miss the whole production: The entrances, the ceremony, and Lenne Hardt (aka the crazy announcer lady).

Completely happy. This is going to change mma completely. There's just going to be so many tough guys wanting belts, anything will be possible.

I'm upset because we're not getting anything that was promised from the beginning of the purchase of Pride. It was supposed to remain the same, but as soon as the UFC started collecting Pride fighters it was pretty much inevitable. Even Heath Herring was a nice foreshadow of what was about to happen. Now that we're not getting a superbowl, which I was actually looking forward to, it really doesn't matter because we'll have an in-house edition of our own superbowl in the UFC because technically we will be getting all the fights that we've wanted, so it's not a bad thing. The principle of it all makes my stomache turn though, I feel bad for Pride, an American-run business comes along and buys them out, it seems crappy but great at the same time.
I think they should seriously consider putting in yellow/red cards into action for the UFC. It's about my favorite thing I like about Pride, it keeps fighters busy at all times, and we can serisouly null lay n' gaying all together. 10% of your fight purse will really show the fighters that we're here to see who's the best, not who the judges think was the best, I'd rather see a fighter cement his win in concrete, and that's what they enforce stronger than the UFC. I love the first 10 minute round, because it's like saying saying "hey we actually want you to stop your opponent, don't try to f*ck us over". Their rules are setup to push knockouts and submissions, and make them first priority.
I'm especially gonna miss the GPs, I think this is another thing the UFC should imply into their organization. I'm sure eventually everything will be perfect for us, dream fights, dream rules, but the one thing I don't see the UFC doing is the badass superhero entrances, my eyes get watery just knowing I'm about to see a dude kick some serious *ss and how much respect he gets (and deserves) for doing it.
So I'll miss the GPs, the warning cards, and their setup to have fights finished. But ya know, it's a bad thing morally, but a great thing financially for all of us, we're in for some bombass matchups now, I wasn't able to smell wandy/chuck last year, but now I can, so I can't complain.
