You talk about Shogun like an overrated fighter, then you mention GSP, lol. GSP gets more undeserved praise than anyone on this forum.

To answer the question I have it down to GSP and Shogun but Ill take Shogun because hes better at transitioning between the two and is better at more things. Fedor is a possibilty too because he has a sambo background and that covers pretty much everything. BJs really well rounded but he has too good of bjj to win this.

Yeah your right, beating BJ Penn, and totally dominating Frank Trigg, Matt Hughes, and Sean Sherk...he's totally undeserving...

Hes done no more than Shogun and up until GSP lost to Serra people were almost putting GSP on the same level as Fedor. I forgot to mention another reason I picked Shogun is because hes better at transitioning to different things than GSP is.

GSP did not beat the shit out of BJ by the way. The only person that got the shit beat out of them was GSP in rd one then GSP laid on him for 2 rounds.

that's why I left him out of the totally dominated category by the way. GSP landed about 10 great leg kicks, and IMO, a crucial reason why BJ dominated the standup was becuz of the painfully obvious poke in the eye that GSP suffered, and did not get a few minutes to recover from. I wouldn't put GSP on the same level as Fedor, but I would put GSP on a level slightly below him, that is occupied by only a few others.

Karo is definitely getting there. The improvement in his stand-up almost baffled me in the Burkman fight - he was just so fluid and natural. Then again, he's been fighting professionally since he was 16. He has an 'unfair' advantage.

1 through 5; here it goes now that i has been thinking more about it. By the way, i am kind of new to this forum; this may as well be my pick for top mma fighter today (lb for lb).

5. Fedor: I love fedor, but he's 90% submission and 10% striking. He shouldnt really even make the cut. The fact is when he fights a striker, he wont stand up with him for more than a minute or so. This is unlike the the fighters i wrote about below. Oh well.
4. GSP: he is probably the greatest take down artist to live thus far. I am not joking (i am pretty good at that too). He took down sherk decisively, and sherk couldnt take gsp down. That is amazing. However... after the take down, i have never seen him actually submit anyone. GnP all the way. That's fine but not enough.
3. Shogun: bad ass striker i.e 16 wins with 14 (T)KO!!! only reason i put him below serra is cause shogun has only a brown belt in BJJ. Say what you will, but it aint no joke getting a TRUE black belt in bjj
2. matt serra: (true bjj black belt w/ stubby arms, yet knocks out GSP!!! u gotta luv that. He's the UFC CHamp in a SICK division. I think a lot of you would think i should have tied the #2 spot between matt serra and shogun. again...oh well

1. anderson silva: all i have to say is, "i honestly beleive he would take out fedor...
