I'll stick with the 1 to 10 scale for this

Rick Hawn vs Douglas Lima..................6 It should be entertaining, but Im not very invested in either of these fighters

Johny Hendricks vs Robbie Lawler..........10 This has to be pretty entertaining while it lasts and it will give us a new WW champ for the first time in awhile

Hector Lombard vs Jake Shields............6 Shields has the potential to make this a very ugly and boring fight and I don't see him subbing Lombard

Carlos Condit vs Tyron Woodley............10 Condit is one of my favorite fighters of all time and he always performs, regardless of if he wins or loses

Shogun Rua vs Dan Henderson...............7 I don't think this will come anywhere near how great the first one was. It is bound to disappoint just due to the epicness of there first meeting.

Daniel Straus vs Pat Curran...............1 There first fight was boring as all hell and Strauss clearly won it. Not any even sort of compelling reasons for this rematch. All it does is make Bellator look even more full of shit with the whole "title shots are earned, not given" stuff.

Hey Josh, not sure if it slipped your mind or if you just aren't aware but Pat Curran knocked Straus out in the 1st match. Straus won the 2nd in a close decision. This would be the 3rd battle. The series being 1-1 is the reason for the rematch.
Pat Curran won 2 different Bellator tourney and defended his title a couple times. He is the perfect example of the new Bellator rule about past Champions being a great idea IMO.

I completely forgot about the first fight. As for the second, I thought it was pretty definitively Strauss. I suppose that makes it a little more relevant.

They continually change there own rules in order to push the fighters they consider big names and. They should stop pushing the tournament format if it is irrelevant. Freire got screwed over by Bellator booking a rematch that didn't really need to happen right now.

I personally like the rule, I don't think it should apply to all Champions but guys like Alvarez, Curran and Chandler who all won tourneys, won the belt and successfully defended the belt. In Chandler's case he lost a very close SD that I felt he won. Only makes sense he gets a rematch. Eddie fought twice against tough competition to get his rematch before that. I don't think they have handed out any unwarranted rematches to this point. They haven't given anyone a rematch that didn't hold the title at one point.

Hendricks-Lawler and Curran-Straus both exceeded my expectations. The closer we get to Shogun-Hendo 2 the more pumped I get.

I'm pissed I missed Curran v Straus. I planned to watch it and got tied up at work and then with the woman.

Yeah it wouldn't be near as good knowing the outcome. I thought it was an amazing fight. Sorry you missed it.
