High Octane could of been one of the best MMA shows ever is it wasn't for some of the injuries.

I. Body Blow (25)

High Octane is a 2 fight show (Rampage vs Silva 2 & Thompson vs Aleks). Rampage vs Silva 2 was really solid stuff, and Thompson vs Aleks is about the funniest fight ever. The fact that Nak vs Hendo & Cro Cop vs Barnett ended up being unfortunate causes, makes the show a little....lifeless.

Pride 17 was solid stuff. I mean, Nogueira vs Herring was good albeit a tad overrated, in fact, I think I liked their second fight better. However, it's still solid. Sperry gets his best win and makes my Vovy tap. Schilt whomps Satake (Who I can't stand). Sakuraba vs Wanderlei was pretty good, and that should've been the fight where Sakuraba retired for good. He hasn't been the same since.

Pride 20 is another solid show. Ninja vs Sperry was, of course, awesome and that was Ninja's best showing ever. Rampage vs Satake ruled, and was another Satake whomping. Bob Sapp does stuff. and lil Nog chokes out some fat, pathetic guy.

I actually really liked Pride 22. Mezger outclasses a fool, come on, who doesn't love Mezger outclassing fools? Silva vs Otsuka was solid. Sperry vs Kopylov was a fight I liked, then again, I'm a big Russian Top Team mark, and a huge Sperry fan. Rampage gets one of his best wins ever.

Cold Fury 2 is a show that doesn't get any love, and that's a shame, really. Stiebling continues his awesome streak by having a really solid fight with Goes. Vovy goes all ADCC on Overeem, and Overeem continues going downhill. Wandy vs Otsuka was a fun beating. Takayama vs Schilt was such an entertaining fight. Seriously, I love Takayama.

Ack, I got Total Elimination 05 instead! I forgot I decided on that one. I thought it would be cool seeing the beginning of a GP. I'll probably start it tomorrow

I also have that DVD. I found it decent. It does have good fights, but I would not recommend it to a new Pride fan, because it is hard to make the transition from the UFC to Pride by watching a DVD of its style. Watch it and you will know what I mean. It is a star-studded event no doubt, and it is a great card(one of my favorites) but I would suggest for you to get your hands on Shockwave 03 or 05 if you want to get the best of Pride. Shogun/Rampage is a must see though, and I hope you enjoy the DVD.

You still have 4 really solid fights on that show: Shogun vs Rampage (Which was an awesome whompin'), Wanderlei vs Yoshida (Which wasn't as good as their first, but I didn't expect it to be. That being said, this was still good), Vovy vs Kondo (Which I liked a lot), and lil Nog vs Hendo. Good show.

Big News, Pride Middlweight tournament 2003 is being released Sept 11 2007

Navarre Product Information

Also, Pride Legacy 5 is going to be released on the same site. It is going to contain Pride 24-28.

Bonnar, even some of the shows that weren't so good have atleast one good fight. Like Pride 21: Demolition the fights were decent/average but you ended up getting an amazing battle in Frye vs Takayama.
