I'm going on a PRIDE binge!

I just watched Pride Final Conflict 2005 and I want more. So for the next couple of weeks I'm going to be holed up in my room and watch nothing but Pride! I already ordered a shitload of Pride video's from Netflicks. Any suggestions on what I should get?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

Any and all of the 04 GP. So, what you really want out of that timeframe are Total Elimination 04 (Sergei vs Ninja was awesome, Giant Silva wins! Randleman KO's Mirko. Nog vs Yokoi was solid. FEDOR!!!), Critical Countdown 04 (Quinton powerbombs a fool. Giant Silva loses . Yoshida vs Hunt ruled. Nog vs Herring 2! How the hell did Fedor survive that slam!?), Final Conflict 2004 (Nog vs Sergei ruled. Fedor whomps fraud Ogawa. Cro Cop kicks Aleks' head off. Silva vs Kondo was swankness. Fedor vs Nog was solid until the crappy ending), and Shockwave 2004 (Chonan's flyin' heel hookery. Mirko chokes a fool. Gomi vs Pulver ruled. Hunt vs Silva was the best fight on the show. Nog vs Fedor 3, and the final blowoff to the 04 GP).

Bushido 9 was awesome, simply awesome. Hansen vs Edwards, Sakurai vs Pulver, Gomi vs Kawajiri, Sakurai vs Hansen, & Gomi vs Azeredo. Freakin' Krazy Horse vs Mishima ruled, too.

Bushido 8 was another awesome Bushido. Josh Thomson is all Frank Shamrock in his awesomeness. Hansen has dynamite in his knee's! Baroni whomps a fool.

Bushido 7 has Pulver whompin' a fool, Baroni whomping a fool, Gomi vs Azeredo, and motherfreakin' Krazy Horse getting his best win.

Bushido 6 has Fedor brutally battering TK, Kang! Bustamante being awesome, and Azeredo vs Buscape!

Bushido 5 has SHOGUN~! Gomi vs Krazy Horse was freakin' awesome, and motherfreakin' VOVY!

04 def a good year to watch.

If you want to go back a little more, so you understand why we Pride fans just love Nogueira and Fedor, watch Body Blow(pride 25?).

One of the best event ever..

Every single fight in that card is worth watching!

But im not going to spoil you how every fight ends, so i wont describe every single fight, but im telling you, its worth watching.

The randleman vs Rampage fight, watch after the fight.. crazy!

Pride 26 is also a must!

apart from the Coleman vs Frye fight, every other fight is worth watching!

Final Conflict 2003!

Rampage vs Chuck!
Silva vs Rampage!
Silva vs Yoshida!
Hendo vs Bustamante!
Nogueira vs Cro Cop!
Sakuraba vs Randleman!

Im just laughing when i hear that UFC 73 was called " the most stacked card in MMA history"

Bring back knees strikes on grounded opponents.. Give me good arguments for not having them for crying out loud.

Yes, that would be Pride 33.

I suggest start at the beginning and work your way up.

Body Blow is definitely an awesome show. Seriously, besides the fights mentioned, Stiebling vs Shoji & Nakamura vs Rog Nog were both awesome, but the former was really, really awesome. Stiebling's Pride run was incredibly fun.

Final Conflict 2003 was a really, really good event, and I'm having a hard time picking my favorite fight out of the show.

I wouldn't really start at the beginning, since the beginning sort of sucked. I mean, I can understand if you're trying to be a completist, but other than that, skip them, however, get Pride 10. Sakuraba vs Renzo was awesomely epic, Shamrock punches Fujita in the face a lot, Mezger vs Silva was insane, and Vovy brutally beats Enson. Seriously, that show was great.

Start at Pride 10 and work your way up. Your best bet is to get the legacy sets.

yeah, apart from Royce vs Sakuraba, and thats really if you are patient and you want to history, there isnt anything worth watching before pride 10, like Damone said. There are a couple of fights worth watching, but certainly not the whole event.. remember that there wasnt any yellow cards at the time, so thats why it can be pretty boring.

But even Pride 10 has it's slow moments, i have the full event and its great, but for awesomeness, you gotta watch any event Damone or myself picked.

Bring back knees strikes on grounded opponents.. Give me good arguments for not having them for crying out loud.

Definitely, Split & I know our Pride stuff, so it's best to take our advice. We're not being cocky, just truthful.

Shockwave 2003 is an incredibly fun show, so much so that it goes by so quickly. Herring vs Giant Silva was freakshowy goodness, Rampage whomping Minowa was really fun, Goodridge kicks Frye's head off, Frye puts his head back on and does an awesome job commentating during Saku vs Rog Nog, Sakuraba takes a manly beating and survives, Kondo whomps Sperry, and Ninja basically kills Shoji with a knee. Man, that show is so much fun, even Royce vs Yoshida was solid. Yoshida pretty much always brings the fun, so it's expected.

Shockwave 2005 is another awesome show. Hendo & Bustamante are all awesome and have a close fight, Cro Cop kicks Hunt in the head a lot, Gomi gets his best win ever, Thompson vs Giant Silva is freakshowy goodness, Sakuraba doesn't die, Fedor whomps a fat dude, & freakin' Yoshida!!!!!

Pride 19: Bad Blood is such a great show. Seriously, this may be Pride's second best show ever (Pride 10 will always remain my favorite). Tom Erikson whomps a biker Santa, Stiebling & Wallid have an awesome fight and Wallid brings the ugly! Newton vs Pele is one of the greatest fights of all time and just swankness, Big Nog basically kills Enson Inoue, Silva vs Tamura was really solid and surprisingly semi-competitive, and Frye & Shamrock have an epic battle. I mean, seriously, Ken has the sideburns, Frye has the 'stache, Ken pulls off a flyin' heel hook that'd make Chonan blush, and Frye punches Ken in the face a few times. This show ruled.

Shockwave 05: One of my favourite cards. Stacked from top to bottom. You got the typical Pride freak show goodness, to awesome, hard to call fights. Hunt/Cro Cop, Silva/Arona, Busta/Hendo, Gomi/Sakurai, Saku/Minowa, both Fedor and Aleks putting the beatdown on some clowns, Krazy Horse. Freakin' awesome show.

Final Conflict 05: Friggin' sweet card. Shogun goes nuts, and basically, this show will fulfill any doubts you may have about this guys hype parade. Arona/Wand 1, which was hot shit. FEDOR vs. CRO COP! Nak and Vovy, TANK, YOSHIDA! OMFG!11!

Shockwave 04: This card may not be as stacked as 05 or 03, but man was it fun, and meaningful. Fedor puts the beat down on Nog, HUNT vs. SILVA! GOMI vs. PULVER! Kondo takes Hendo to a decision(WHAT), Cro Cop gets to avenge Randleman, GIANT SILVA! Ryo Chonan gets the infamous Flying Heel Hook to ANDERSON! and in a fun fight Minowa is all heel hook on some clown. Great event.

Pride 28 High Octane is another fun event. Really important to watch if you are a Rampage fan(). Barnett/Mirko just smells, Wand vs. Rampage, Hendo/Nak(smelly), Hunt killing some fool, Arona going all ADCC on some guy, Overeem whoomping on Kanehara, and Aleks friggin' almost killing James Thompson.

I'll add some more in due time.
