Well some of you may have heard of "Cage Rage" - a cheap UK production of MMA fighters mostly europeans but to be fair Anderson Silva has fought many times in cage rage along with other better known fighters (look up cage rage on google).
Some boxing fans out there may remember Julius Francis as a low level uk fighter that lost to Mike Tyson, well Francis just got his ass kicked more by fatigue and the fight if you can call it that was embarrassing , Ray Mercer fought Kimbo Slice and again was well overmatched- why the hell do they do it?
Francis was once a decent european level champ and Mercer was well respected also, why do you think they decide to compete?

Well I think they're smart enough to know that they can no longer compete in boxing but fail to realize that they're going to have a harder time fighting in MMA. Maybe they see it as an easy way to make money and they feel they can knock whoever they fight out. A lot of people only know as much as striking and they think that is the only way to do it. Strikers make excuses that they only lost because *WRESTLER* laid on top of them. The say stuff like, "Well, I would have beat yo' ass if you weren't laying on top of me the whole fight." A top, in prime boxer would not do so well in MMA. If Wladimir Klitschko were to fight Fedor, we know what would happen, Fedor would have Klitschko in an armbar 3 minutes into the first round. They're stuck in their own thoughts thinking they will KO anything they touch. Watching a fight like Kimbo vs. Mercer, Mercer doesn't even get to throw a punch.

ya. ppl are crazy. They go to these fights partly to see hot girls and if they dont get a chance to see them properly, immediately call them as cheap. too bad

The most solid advice I can give to anyone who fights BJ Penn is...do not motivate the guy. Lets face it, BJ although talented, is naturally lazy. Your job is to NOT convince him to step on that treadmill.
