Well, Sergei has signed with K-1, as has Alistair Overeem.

Arlovski's camp was wondering why they havent been booked for a fight, but Dana just said that they are looking to book him very soon, possibly for UFC 79.

Barnett, as I said, has a high asking price, and doesnt want a one and done deal just to fight Fedor. He has his pro wrestling in Japan which he is doing great at and he trains fighters like Babalu and others so he has said that if he doesnt get a deal to his liking, he will just retire from fighting.

Arona has been discussed about possibly being brought into the Light-Heavyweight Division of the UFC, as soon as there is room to push another guy in there.

Hunt & possibly Sokoudjou are the only legit names out there, and last I heard, there was some talk about Hunt fighting in the UFC down the line, just not right now.

So out of all those names, Sokoudjou is the only option, and if they do feel he is a legit contender for Fedor, they better sign him up soon before K-1 gets ahold of him (if they already havent)

It sounds realistic, except for one thing...it came from Trigg. Every big piece of MMA news that has come through Frank Trigg has never amounted to reality. So I'm feeling a bit skeptical on this. If its true, its a big loss for the UFC.

Barnett has gotten trashed by Cro Cop 3 times it has nothing to do with Barnett not being good it has to do with him being a horrible match up for Cro Cop.

Ummm Ken Flo you relize unlike the UFC K-1 doesn't have exclusive contracts those guys can all fight in other orgs. So they are all possible fights. While Barnett says he doesn't want to do a one and done if the price is right he woudl certainly fight Fedor I mean he has been trying to fight Fedor for a long time.

Arlovski getting booked for a fight doesn't mean his contract is settled since he has 1 fight left.

Also you forgot that I mentioned Nogueira who is signed to HFC with an unexclusive deal.

Also Babalu and a rematch with Randleman are opitions since Strikeforce doesn't have exclusive contracts either.

yeah, but Trigg himself admitted that when he first read the story that he thought it was a bulls*** rumor. Then he got in contact with someone in Fedor's camp and they confirmed it, so he took it a bit more serious. Again, even he isn't totally sold, but I think after talking to the source, he is beginning to believe it.

TAGG catches crap for their rumors all the time, but they did break the Griffin/Rua story first, so I will give them some credit for at least that.

If it's a rumor, shouldn't the title be "RUMOR: Fedor has signed.." Describing something as "news" implies it's a fact.

If there is a Russian org with lots of money - then lots of great fighters will appear. Don't forget many of the top guys at the moment have seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Sokodojou for example. Russia itself has wrestling and sambo in school.
The money makes the fighters.

I just hope I get to watch another org on tv / dvd.

If its true...
