With HDNet Fights starting to blow up, the NYE show with Fedor, the IFL Grand Prix Finals and the news that HDNet Fights having nearly 24 shows next year, I have a question for all of those who do in fact have this channel, mainly for DirecTV subscribers, but any feedback will help.
I don't have an HDTV and (although this may be a really stupid question), I was wondering if you can still get this package on a normal TV. Again, I'm not sure how this works, but I saw on the DirecTV site that the upgrade is only like 10 dollars a month. Add the HDNet channel price which apparently is like 5 dollars, and you get everything for 15 dollars a month. Again, since I don't have an HDTV, I wouldn't get to see the action as well as some, but if it is possible, I would pay the additional 15 dollars a month to see the HDNet Fights cards twice a month.
So, my main question is if someone with a normal TV (only a couple years old) could upgrade their DirecTV subscription and add the HD package without an actual HDTV? Again,I realize this might be a very stupid question, but I would rather ask this then to not be able to see Fedor on NYE
. I don't care about the high quality picture, just mainly that I could see all of these upcoming events on this channel.
