I was pretty sure he was making the move.

I feel that he beat me fair and square. I was close, but close isn’t close enough. All fighters go through losses, I’m just going to have to come back stronger. I’m contemplating in my mind if I’m going to drop to (1)55 or not, because I’m a smaller welterweight. I could do more powerlifting and put some more weight on or I could lose some weight.

I guess its not an official announcement, but it came from his mouth...

You guys go ape shit over how wrong the rankings are. Nobody will ever have the same rankings, and people will probably think yours is wrong. Hard to determine whose the best when every fighter hasn't faught every fighter.
But seriously.. where's Kampmann?

I still dnt think Jardine & Griffin should b higher than Shogun. An unranked fighter who has no previous big wins defeats the was rankd #1 & it causes them 2 switch ranks? I agree of dropping Shogun but not behind Griffin / Jardine .
Why is Napao so high? he had one big win, thats it. Nogueira should b #2. O well ..

Yea I agree, Nog should be second, and I really think Shogun losing to Griffin shouldn't put him at sixth, he is a beast, I like Griffin more I just think its messed up for them to screw over Shogun like that... next fight Shogun is going to be mean with a new camp and all

Having Serra even in the top 5 is laughable. These rankings weigh the most recent fights FAR too heavily. You consider recent fights but they shouldn't overshadow overall record and quality of opponents.

Serra number one? Are you kidding me? The guy is 9-4 for the love of god and lost to the likes of Shone Carter. For crying out loud this list while mostly pretty decent is sorely lacking in places. Huerta and Guida and Griffin don't even crack the top ten lightweights? Just nonsensical.

He lost to Shonie but he went the distance with BJ Penn, Karo and Din thomas and then KO'd GSP. A lot of fighters are better then him but he's underrated.
