i agree with whomever mentioned the whole "attitude" thing about him. i don't want any of the "boxing bullshit" involved in MMA, although we already do have enough of it. but, if he wants to try his luck, fine... as long as it doesn't turn into the circus boxing did! that's honestly the only thing i worry about. the day i see it starting to happen is the day i wash my hands of it. and personally, having an ex-boxer of maywhether's caliber get into, or even talk about MMA, really scares me!
i also think that he shouldn't be catered to. no special treatment. he starts in MMA? he's got to build himself up from can status. if people like Nog don't get immediate title shots, being in an even better MMA organization before coming over, than an ex-boxer certainly doesn't deserve anything handed to him.
also, whomever mentioned his pay-rate in boxing, there's a big point about that. if he comes in to MMA, how much does he think he's going to get a fight? because if they can't find a way to entice Fedor with money, and if they can't buy some of those great Japanese stars who opted for K-1, then what does it say if Dana shits all over legit MMA fighters and pays Floyd 5 million for his first fight, let alone if it's for a title straight away???

Mayweather fights at like 147, heaviest he has fought at was against De La Hoya at 154 for their superfight. Don't know what his weight was for Hatton.

oh right, he fights at welterweight in boxing, thats what got me mixed up. (damn, the boxing weight classes are ****ed up)
well in that case you can give him roger huerta, i'd say these two would put on a very good match and it could honestly go either way (seeing as huerta likes to stand)

Hell, give him Stevenson. Joe Daddy clearly has something to show him anyway. The first time I saw Ken Flo, I was who is this kid. Then after I saw him fight, I was like that is exactly why I don't get into bar fights. Who would of thought that guy could kick that much ass.

he wont ever copme over to MMA he gets 20 million dollars to fight Ricky Hatton and even in a title match in the UFC he would be looking at 2 MIllion max or he can take the next boxing match he has been offered for 25 million win or lose.
Anyway judging by recent events the contract negotiations would probably play out with Dana saying something like
" now Floyed in this contract you get less than my annual exspenses and we get your soul, there is a minor stipulation in that theres to be no siging or DANCING unless we do ufc come dancing and if we do we get paid for it and dont worry you get a percentage of the twinky sales that night to compinsate for any possible long term mental problems.
If you win your first fight then the contract is for eternity and if you lose you leave the UFC but leave us all your money before entering this contract and only take your percentage of the twinky sales for the event you fight in which will be paid to you as soon as we get exact figures from the confectionay stand ,thats fair on both sides so just sign here and here "
Fallowing day Press confrence Dana announces that "after countless efforts he couldnt come to an agrment with Mayweather that was acceptable to both parties or even the attendents at his kids birthday party so Mayweather has gone back to boxing to further his career.
