1) Mirko and the PRIDE 2006 Open Weight Grand Prix. Top fighter, top of his game.

2) Heath Herring and that "Kiss". Herring fighting soon reminded me just how funny that moment was. MMA is a better place for that clip. Really funny and gets better everytime its watched.

3) Chuck Lidell handing Tito's ass to him in a barrage of punches against the cage.

4) Party up front, business at the back Keith Hackney against Yarborough. Truely comical to watch yet amazing at the same time. KH got thrown out the cage door and broke his hand laying the smack down on a monster.

Yeah I agree. I've pretty much done that over time. Hence why he's top of my fighters list!

Who is the guy that wins a fight(it's in a ring so might be old pride) then try's to jump over the ropes to celebrate and takes a fall!? That clip was very funny but I can't for the life of me remember who it was? ANy ideas anybody?

Rampage showing a referee a yellow card to a referee before a fight was funny. I cracked up in his fight against Arona too. Arona had him in some kind of armlock and was cranking it, the ref was doing the classic Pride "Give up? Give up? Give up?". Rampage just turned his head to the ref with a "WTF" expression on it and said, "No!" while shaking his head. Arona was still trying for it at the same time.

i believe that was mark coleman, he won his fight and used the rest of his roid rage to jump over the ropes

one of my favirote moments is randy couture coming out of retirement to beat tim sylvia for his 5th title belt. it's just a shame about all the controversey that followed.

i also loved forrest griffin vs stephan bonnar at the tuf1 finale, one of the best fights i've ever seen.

Coleman's run in the 2000 GP was a great moment.

Shogun's run in the 2005 MW GP was legendary as well, beating Rampage, Lil Nog, Overeem and Arona all in the same tourney. His fight with lil Nog was one of the best MMA fights ever.

Nick Diaz coming back from a beating to slap a gogo on Gomi. One of my favorite fights ever and such a sick finish.

Randy Couture coming out of retirement to beat Tim Sylvia for the HW belt.

Good call, I may well have to check out Shogun's run again. Almost forget he beat all those good fighters, I remember lil nog but you kinda forget about the others who were no meen feat!

Nick Diaz is a bad boy. I love his style.

REN DADDY

I with you on Diaz. He's not the biggest, strongest, quickest, or always overwhelmingly dominant in one skill, but he comes to the fight like there is no question that he is going to kick the other guy's ass, and he expects the other guy to know it too. Never an ounce of doubt in his mind, no matter who the opponent is. That kind of confidence and mental ability, especially in MMA, is impressive.

Anyway, to the fights. Here are some that come to mind, hope you like them.

BJ vs. Caol Uno - BJ comes in...the bell rings... beats down Uno against the fence with punches to the face (it seemed like 20 punches in about 5 seconds).... the ref pulls him off 15 seconds into the fight... BJ throws up the peace sign and runs back to his dressing room. It was like he had somewhere else to be, so he just decided to throw a turbo beatdown on Uno. Hillarious!

Liddell vs. Mezger - Not quite as comical as B.J., but a great stand up war to watch in Pride, in 2001. (Took place just 4 weeks after Liddell knocked out Kevin Randallman in 1 1/2 min. in the UFC)

Diaz vs. Lawler - This was the first fight I saw of Diaz, and I was shocked... Here's this tall skinny kid, who is a BJJ fighter, calling out and taunting Robbie Lawler the whole fight. The most impressive part about was that he taunted Lawler, who had been viciously knocking guys out,while playing Lawler's game, which is stand up. An entertaining fight with one of the most unexpected knockouts Iv'e seen.
