Question about M1 ?(No M1 section so I post it here)

Does anybody know that in M1 they allow soccer kicks, stomps and knees to the head of a downed opponent. I am assuming that since its in Japanesse and Russian based its a resounding yes.

No one knows for sure, yet, since there have been no M1 promoted events (M1 just provided partial financing and Fedor for the Yarenoka card). Since M1's first event is going to be in the US, there won't be any stomps, soccer kicks, or knees to the head on the ground. Who knows what they'll do about elbows?

This all speculation on my part, but:

They teamed up with DSE and several other companies to pull off Yerenoka! which did NOT allow knees/kicks/stomps to the head of a grounded opponent (hence why the Akiyama/Misaki ruling was overturned).

So if I had to guess, M-1 is going to go away from those kind of strikes as well. Also, for their first event in the US none of that will be allowed. As far as elbows, it'd be a good idea to protect Fedor from those from a business standpoint, so I'd be willing to say no elbows too.

Again, this is just my opinion.

I just hope they allow knees on the ground.

Actually knees were allowed, just not during the Fedor event, because his opponent was over 100 pounds heavier than him. The Misaki fight was changed because it was a soccer kick, which along with stomps, are not allowed. Knees are though.
