Anyone think he'll actually make the jump to MMA this year?

EXCLUSIVE: Update On Bobby Lashley To MMA
Posted on 03/11/08 at 2:45 PM

MMAScoops has learned EXCLUSIVELY that Bobby Lashley has been training in San Jose, California at the American Kickboxing Academy for MMA.

MMAScoops has also learned EXCLUSIVELY that his WWE non-complete clause includes MMA, but it expires on 5/10, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Lashley has not decided what is next for him. He is expected to either pick MMA or TNA after his non-complete clause expires.

nope he sure wouldn't and there were rumors circulating (thanks to one of my buddies who is into the wwe and all that) is that he left during the start up of their new wellness policy and his name has been on lists for certain steroids not to be taken as actual facts but, under the circumstances (provided his name is on certain suppliers) and well the size of the man i dunno what to think he does have a great wrestling background but men his size will never have a good ground game

The guy is a machine, i think he would probably be more successful in UFC then Lesnar if he was to join UFC. Lesnar of course will be the bigger draw though. The guy is a superb athlete and so quick for a guy his size and has incredible power and wrestling abillity.

Pass me what ever your smoking...... Lashley will never be as sucessful as Lesnar in MMA, Lesnars athelticism is what gives him so much potential but its not his freakish strength that Lashley also has but the combination of his freakish strength with the speed and agility of a man half his size , something Lashley does not have, Lashley moves alright for a guy his size but watching him move doesnt create a sense of amazement.
Basically

Strength
Lesnar = Lashley

Agility
Lesnar > Lashley

Speed
Lesnar > Lashley

Drawing Power
Lensar > Lashley

How exactly is Lashley better???

Im done arguing this you have flipped your lid if you think Lashley is even in Undertakers league speed wise never mind the fact Lesnar would run circles around them this is the most idiotic argument I've heard in a long time, let me guess Viscera is faster than both of them right?

I think Lashley has huge potential. I haven't watched wrestling in a long time so I've never seen him wrestle but I have seen his crenditials and I think he could defiantly be a legit MMA fighter.

i was looking at his college stats and he won those titles at80 kilos so that close to 180 pounds...even though he's huge and roided now i'm pretty sure he still has small guy speed and is probably faster than lesnar...since lesnar won his titles at heavywieght...if he gets off the roids maybe loses a bit of muscle i see him being pretty good at light heavyweight...maybe even a middleweight but that's kinda pushing it

This is funny because unlike Lesnar, Lashley actually is on steroids. Also, Lashley isn't as strong as Lesnar (Lesnar tossed around the Big Show like a doll and Lashley barley got him off the ground.

Lesnar is also more athletic, and much quicker and more agile then Lashley. I don't think Lashley can fare well in MMA, especially since he is going to get flabby and become even weaker without the roids.

BTW the reason I say he is on roids is because Lesnar wrestled in the NCAA at somewhere around 300 pounds, but Lashley wrestled at somehwere around 190 pounds, and their both about 280 pounds now..so I think it's fair to agree with my assessment.

Lashley had to pick up a much bigger Big Show than Lesnar did. Wight is notorious for having weight problems, and he was pretty damn big in their match(which I just watched to check out Lashleys strength). Also, Lashleys scoop powerslam is a lot harder than the f-5 as far as strength goes.

I'd be interested to see this, if Lashley fought in a small org against nobodies.

But yeah, Lesnar is definately quicker and more athletic.

As a former wrestling fan, I still have to disagree. Paul was still around the 500lb area during Lesnars time, but Lesnar didn't only F-5 him, he running powerbombed him, he suplexed him, superplexed him, german suplexed him, and belly to belly suplexed him. Lashley got him off him feet barley while Lesnar through him like a doll. Also, what I think even further defines Lesnars uncanny strength is he turned has the Undertaker (a 300 pound man) in a scoopslam position, the from there cradled him like a baby and tossed him on his shoulders.

However I can't find a link to the undertaker thing so this should suffice

I gave up on pro wrestling about a year after Lashley debuted (will they ever get back to what made it great?). What I remember from him was slow-motion. Slow to set up his moves and slow to execute, relatively speaking. What I remember from Lesnar is explosiveness. I don't remember once being impressed by Lashley in the ring the way Lesnar impressed me everytime, especially his shooting star press at Wrestlemania. Dude should be dead. If Lesnar hadn't shown up first, I'd probably be more impressed with Lashley, but that's kind of the point.
