Cung Le - how would he fare in UFC?
I've seen a couple of Cung Le fights and I think he is the class of Elite XC. Granted they were not the most impressive opponents but he seems to be as technically sound as any of the Elite roster and has the most promise of all. The Shamrock fight will be a good test of course but how would Le fare in the UFC?
Cote
Franklin
Grove
Henderson
Herman
Leiben
Laites
Lister
Lutter McDonald
Marquardt
McCarthy
Okami
Quarry
Sakara
Sell
Starnes
Tanner
Terrell (he still around?)
Bisping
I wont even list Silva on here becuase no one can touch him. That is a tough roster but if Le came ot UFc and was brought up properly over a 2-3 year period he may be solid.
Thoughts?

I think he could easily be a contender in the ufc middle weight division. I think he is amazingly talented and a phenomenal striker. I'm really pulling for him in this Shamrock fight.

He is very good, but he couldn't beat Bisping, Hendo, or Tanner for sure. The other fights he has a big shot at winning. I doubt he would come to UFC though.

His fight with Frank this weekend will determine his legitimacy and wether or not he will be able to handle himself with the MMA Elite.
So, IMO, he's a very good striker and his ground game seems to be coming along, but it's a few days early to make that terminology

I'm with you on that one as well...Bisping is over-rated..Hammil would of won that show if not for injury..etc..
Anyways...I love Cung lee's style....I hope he puts the stamp on Frank..Then dominates the UFC...Of course it's a longshot...but he's fun to watch

I was impressed by Bisping on TUF but not in his fights since. His fight vs Hamill exposed him. He may fare better at 185 but has along ways to go. I really like Le and hope it dominates Shamrock becuase I am shocked there is not more of a buzz on this guy. I'd put him in the top third of the UFC, love to see him fight some of those guys but think he would have trouble with the top guys, Franklin, Silva, Hendo but love to see him versus Cote, Leiben, Sell, Marquardt, Quarry and the like. He will be among the very best in a year or two though of course he has to beat Shamrock first who looked quite good in his last fight but it was Baroni!

Franklin
Henderson
Lutter
Marquardt
Okami
These are the fighters I imagine he would have a hard time with. Henderson is the only one I bet against him on.
