I saw Sportsnet cover this in their mini-feed this morning. It read; 'Tim Sylvia will be fighting Russian mixed martial artist champion, Fedor Emeleianenko on July 19th in Dallas...'

Mixed martial artist champion? Idiocy.

To the topic at hand, yes I will be rooting for Tim Syliva. I like Tim alittle more than Fedor but do not in anyway disrespect anything Fedor has accomplished.

Josh has obviously been watching MMA for a long time.

Have you even watched Fedor fight? I forgot that Nogueira, Cro Cop, Coleman, Mark Hunt, Kevin Randleman, Ricardo Arona, Babalu, Heath Herring etc. were all cans. Oh well.

I do want Tim to win as I have always supported him even through his stage of boring fights but I think Fedor will beat him as tim is too one dimensional and will most probably get subbed

What's Fedor gonna do to Sylvia once it hits the ground. Ground and pound his face and send a message to UFC or submit him right away?

I think once Fedor beats Sylvia, people will still find a way to bash him by saying like "Ohhh Sylvia should retire, sucks now, lost two in a row blah blah blah"

After Tim loses to Fedor in what will be a good fight, he should rebound by knocking out Kimbo Slice

You have found the impossible. The one fight where I would root for Tim.

I always like a heavy underdog, and this time that happens to be Tim.

Demian Maia may be the Fred Astaire of jiu-jitsu, but it’s too bad Silva is the Gene Kelly of kicking everyone’s ass.

I'm going to be rooting for Sylvia in this fight. Anyone that has been on here for any amount of time, know that I feel Tim gets the shaft with the fans and I hope that this is the turning point for him to get things back in order.

With that said, I really believe that we are just wasting space with this thread because I don't think this fight is going to make it reality. I just have this bad feeling that for some reason, it's going to fall through and we are all going to be disappointed.
