Edit: Another one I wanted to throw in there is Alex Stiebling vs Akira Shoji. The only time Shoji was in this fight was when he threw that one punch that knocked Stiebling on his ass. He got top position but then Stiebling was able to reserve it and put a submission on Shoji. Shoji waited out the clock. Third rd it looked like Stiebling was in control of the stand-up. But for some reason two of the judges gave the decision to Shoji.
Wanderlei never rocked Hunt though or had him in real trouble. Hunt dropped Wanderlei on his ass in the corner of the ring, though Wanderlei recovered fast as usual. Due to judging criteria I had no problem with Hunt winning that, but then considering the weight difference (which is meant to be taken into consideration in Pride rules) I do think Wanderlei could have been given the win.

Steibling got screwed in that decision with Shoji. Totally agree. Same with Mezger when he fought Shoji.

Since were on the topic of bad decisions I'm going with Stephan Bonnar vs. Keith Jardine. Blatantly bad decision on the judges part.

If we're gonna mention Keith Jardine, I always thought he was on the right side of a screwy decision against Wilson Gouveia, personally.

I thought Lindland won the fight against Rampage. He was non-stop with the sub attempts and pressure, clinging on to Rampage and attacking him non-stop.

Wanderlei vs Hunt, yeah, I scored it for Wanderlei, based on his ground work, but the Pride judges love it when a dude walks his opponent down, which is what Hunt did a few times in that fight.

Shoji vs Stiebling & Shoji vs MEzger were just odd, odd decisions. Well, Shoji is Asian, so it shouldn't be that odd, but what the hell, how did he win those fights? I even tried to score both for Shoji, and couldn't. Then again, one of the judges thought Nakamura won in the second Rogerio fight. You know, the fight where Rogerio dominated him for 15 minutes.

Rob Emerson vs Corey Hill.
I think in his other loss on TUF he was submitted

Kevin Randleman vs Bas Rutten.
Even though Kevin just layed and prayed in the second, he absolutely dominated Bas in the first.

For a lot of people: Fedor Emelianenko vs Ricardo Arona
In my mind it was close, but I still thinks Emelianenko won.

Several Newton and Mezger fights that went to decision. Also Loiseau's last fight.

Fun trivia: In danish "kamp" means "match" or "fight". So Martin Kampmann really lives up to his name.

Not sure if these had been mentioned yet or not, I have yet to see either fight but know this one Clay Guida vs. Tyson Griffin left a bad taste in a lot of fans mouths.

I haven't seen Barnett vs. Big Nog and was wondering what ppl. thought of it?

Which one, 1 or 2? Barnett vs Nog 1 was a great fight, total FOTYC stuff for 06, and seriously close, though Barnett took it based on the knockdown and the kneebar.

2 was pretty much all Nog. Barnett had a nice takedown and a swank guillotine attempt. That's pretty much it.

Rutten vs Randleman, I don't know, I used to think it was a bad decision, but Bas did work while Randleman laid and did nothing. It was a 5 minute GnP session from Randleman, and that's it. Funny how fights change when you re-watch them.

My bad was one a SD and one a UD? I was prolly thinking of the SD which is there first one.

Yep, one was a split (1) and the other a UD (2). I really recommend their first fight, as it's great. Hell, their second fight was a great display from Nogueira.

I really didn't like the Belfort vs Ortiz decision. Belfort won the first 2 rounds with flurries, while Ortiz only won the third.

Hunt beat the living shit out of Wand and he took that fight on short notice. He almost knocked his ass out like 3 times. Props to Wand for taking the shots but with Hunt on top of his ass for like 2/3 of the fight and running the stand up their should be no question who took that one.
