Your Controversial Fights?
what are your controversial fights?..i have watched the Nogueira vs Rodriguez fight. Im not a Ricco Rodriguez fan and I'm more of a Big Nog fan but i really don't think Big Nog deserve that win, this is areas that the MMA orgs and the Sanctioning bodies should study and will correct, as a Growing Sport like the MMA, it can impede the Growth of a sport with this Unjust judges decisions

Controversial decisions are just part of the sport. Any time a close fight goes to the judges you just don't know who they will give it to. I don't really think it will impede the sport. Controversial decisions have been part of boxing for a long time and sometimes have actually been good for it. For example, people still love to debate the Hagler vs. Leonard decision. I'm one of the people who think that Hagler was robbed in that decision.

All Ricco did was have top position and throw weakass hammerfists in that fight against Noguiera. Whereas Noguiera was trying to finish the fight with submissions. The Pride judging criteria favoured people trying to finish fights (or who looked most likely to finish the fight) instead of control. The UFC judging criteria would have given the fight to Ricco.

Ricco didn't deserve to win the Nog fight, since all he did was smother Nog with his man boobies. Nog, at least, was constantly going for stuff. Pride judges, for all their faults, were right on the money with that decision. People need to look into Pride's criteria of judging before actually watching the fight.
Goes vs Henderson was a terrible decision. Goes dropped him twice and almost choked him out, plus he landed leg-kicks. Henderson just laid on him while Goes went for subs.

Silva vs. Arona 2. Watching that fight I would say that Arona won.

I thought Arona won, too, but being in the buttscoot position, while Wanderlei is kicking your legs and wanting you to get up, isn't the smartest gameplan. It's like when Bustamante would get hit and drop into the buttscoot position.

Bad decision, as well. Newton managed to outstrike Henderson and rock him a few times. All Hendo could do was lay on him. Carlos was able to outstrike him and not let Henderson do anything to him on the ground. hell, Newton was also able to take Henderson down.
Newton was clearly outworking him, and it seemed like Judo Gene was the only guy watching the fight.

Maybe! I just don't think enough justification to give Silva the win. Arona controlled a bulk of that fight on the ground!
Another one is Rampage vs. Ninja Rua. What fight the judges were seeing I will never know. Ninja won that fight hands down.

Yeah thats how I saw it. When I saw the fight I was wondering how the hell anyone could really make an argument for Henderson winning. Henderson has recieved some horrid decisions wins.
