thats because he has a glass jaw and a habit of standing with strikers

Because he's taken a religious retreat, praying that Kimbo spares his life foo'!

But in all seriousness, I hope the Colossus kills the Kimbo hype.

Me, too, but I'm not holding my breath.
Thompson was likely picked because he looks impressive and has legit experience, but has an atrocious chin. If they just trade, Jimmy's probably going down.

probably? thompson doesn't even punch that hard, considering he's ******* massive.. kimbo will toy him if they stand and trade.. he better try and take kimbo down if he has any sense in him whatsoever

As much as I hate to say it, JT is going to get brutally KO'd in this fight. It's not because Kimbo is a great fighter but because thats what Thompson does best.

Some cardio...and a chin...and a ground game and not letting the opponent dictate the fight.

Thompson is a step up for Kimbo from the complete jokes he's faced so far but not a big one considering Kimbo's strength is striking and we know Thompson can't take a punch. If Thompson is smart enough to go the ground he'd probably win. His ground game isn't great but it is probably better than Kimbo's.

However past fights have given no indication that Thompson is anywhere near intelligent enough to do that so he'll probably just trade and get knocked out. Again.

I think he's proven that numerous times throughout his "career" lol. James Thompson is a nice guy, but he is easily one of the dumbest fighters in the sport.

Here's a recent interview with James...

http://mmaagents.blogspot.com/2008/0...mbo-slice.html

Quote:
What are your thoughts on Kimbo Slice as an opponent?
I think he’s an excellent opponent for me as the attention and exposure he will brings to a fight is invaluable. Plus although he is an aggressive dangerous striker, he’s been far from tested as of yet!

How do you feel about fighting in the United States?
It’s great to be part of the explosion of MMA, which just seems to keep growing in the United States. The fans are growing in knowledge all the time plus on a personal level, I couldn’t have asked for better supporting fans.

What sort of gameplan will you bring into the bout?
I’m not afraid to strike with Kimbo, obviously I don’t want it to be a 3 round stand up war, so I plan to put him on his back when the opportunity arises.

Can we expect your patented running at an opponent from the opening bell?
I never like to say, but the ‘Gong N Dash’ does un-nerve opponents and it is very entertaining, so I guess you’ll all have to tune in and see.

How do you see this fight going?
With me getting back on track in the biggest possible way, with surely world domination just round the corner and maybe a bit of beard burn for my trouble!

Thanks for your time, thanks to all The JT War wagon and all the other fans that support me in America and over the world. I appreciate it
