I think that claiming he won't tap... EVER, is a testament to how much he has actually worked on his groundgame.

As is this:
Quote:
Kimbo Slice: Well, right now I’m 3-0 but a lot of people don’t recognize the Ray Mercer fight as an actual fight. I defeated Ray Mercer in the first round by guillotine choke so I consider myself 3-0 and not 2-0.

MMANews.com: That was something I didn’t expect to see when you won by a submission…

Kimbo Slice: Right Right, and when that happened I was a complete rookie. If I did that then can you imagine where I am at now?
BAHAHAHAHA! I think anyone in this forum could have (should have, at least!) caught Mercer in that choke. The fact that Kimbo doesn't realize that it was a weak accomplishment yet speaks to his skill level IMO.

And why do people that interview Kimbo NEVER ask when he might stop fighting people tailor-made to lose to him?

It appears to me that Kimbo believes he's faced some real competition.

Yeah, yeah, talk is cheap. But once that elbow starts to seperate, we'll see how things go. Who knows, maybe he will let someone break his arm once... but only once.

Defecato, ergo sum.

This point would make him a dumb fighter. He talks about making money and so fourth.

Well with a broken arm or ankle how is he supposed to compete? A good break will keep you out of the cage for a year.

Hence no money Kimbo.

I guess Kimbo will either fight cans until he starts calling out Fedor, or he'll get his arm busted off and not be able to fight.

can't wait.

Am I the only one that thinks Kimbo is under-the-gun a little too much? I mean the guy only has 2 pro fights, so what if they ease him into the game.. isn't that what promoters/coaches are supposed to do? No one fights seasoned veterans for opening fights. Just because he had some sort of internet claim-to-fame doesn't mean that he should be treated as though he were already pro.

I think for 3 fights Kimbo's already being given a little tougher competition than he needs to be seeing (I'd have waited to for the Thompson fight for around his 5th fight). In any case, he SHOULD be fighting easier fighters. Then after he has a few wins under his belt, test his mettle by throwing him in with quality heavyweights like Arlovski or CroCop.

Thanks to NikosCC for the sick sig!

you may be the only one who thinks that but the reality is he has only had 2 pro fights and he's talked about and compared and most importantly the amount of money a guy makes that first enters the business is out of perspective as far as Kimbo goes...the guy is a spectacle and people are gonna watch so they are gonna just ride the money and hope they dont pick the wrong guy to fight kimbo....the one that can beat him
