I think for 3 fights Kimbo's already being given a little tougher competition than he needs to be seeing (I'd have waited to for the Thompson fight for around his 5th fight). In any case, he SHOULD be fighting easier fighters. Then after he has a few wins under his belt, test his mettle by throwing him in with quality heavyweights like Arlovski or CroCop.

I, for one am just anxious to see Kimbo exposed for what he is: an Entertainer.

And his competition has not been tough at all, so far. They are hand-picked to lose against Kimbo's style.

Ray Mercer is an easy debut for anyone. He's almost 50 years old and it was his MMA debut.

Bo Cantrell was 10-10, and had crumbled in less than 30 seconds on previous occasions. A very fair match-up for a beginner. Easier than most pro debuts, actually. The guy even came into the fight in awe of Kimbo saying something to the efect of: "I feel like this is a championship bout". Give me a break!

And of course, an over the hill Tank Abbot that has a total of two wins over the past decade. Basically: A fat, old guy with heavy hands that has been getting KTFO a lot lately. This match-up is also a joke.

And now he's going to face Thompson, who EXC is praying will stand with Kimbo and get KO'd like his past 2-3 bouts.

Kimbo's under the gun because he put himself there. Why has Kimbo never said that he's fighting lesser competition?

When he talks about his past achievements it sounds like he thinks they're pretty impressive to me.

Kimbo and Krazy Horse Bennet should be deported from professional MMA.

this guy is dead right bout Kimbo....he is not proven and kimbo needs to realize that he has not beaten anyone except has beens or never where's and eventually the level of competition(which prob will be makin less than kimbo) improves....

Kimbo sounds ridiculous, this is MMA, there is no shame in tapping out.

I hope he gets tapped soon - I can't believe what he said, its real real lame.

What an idiot. People who don't tap are idiots. I can understand it with a choke because you pass out and have a little dream. The headache afterwards is maybe worth the battering you'd be saving your pride by not tapping. Being injured for a year because you are too pig-headed to tap is idiotic. Maybe he says this because he knows he's only ever going to be fighting ground gameless joke brawlers.

Kimbo hasn't but Bas has. Bas admitted that he's choosing Kimbo's opponents (not Kimbo picking them) and intentionally gradually bringing the level of competition up.

Kimbo's trying to emit that same thuggish persona that brought him popularity among the internet fans (similar to tito). He is definitely an entertainer. However, he's also a fighter that's training with some of the best... so I'm not going to rule him out so quickly. I realize his overhyped reputation isn't going to give him a lot of credibility with informed MMA fans, but reputation is not mutually exclusive from skill.

Will he tap out if he's caught in a submission? absolutely.
I guarantee Bas has tapped him hundreds of times, the comment is just part of the act.

I do look forward to seeing what he does against some stiffer competition though... and see how he handles himself on the ground or in a bad situation.

kimbo is making more money than most of the fighters out there, and he's been in the game like a 10th of the time everyone else has. the man is a genius, and he hit the jackpot. talk all the shit u guys want, but he's livin the dream, i hardly think he gives 2 shits about what everyone thinks, i sure as hell wouldn't.
