Looking to Broaden my MMA Horizons

I need the names of some SHOOTO dudes, or guys who are sweet but would be considered more obscure. I need to learn the 135, and 145 pound weight classes better. I follow the a lot of mma but have noticed recently that there are some orgs out there, mostly foreign ones that I dont know much about. Deep I think it is is another org. I dont know much about. I just saw the results for the Shooto card the Sakurai lost on and it made me realize I need to broaden my horizons, plus my favorite weight class is 155 and I am a 145 pounder so I need to learn the lower weight classes, and from what I understand they are dominated by foreign fighters. Give me names, links, etc.. thanks.

My 07 FOTY was Takaya vs Carvalho (Shooto). Just 2 145'ers punching each other in the face. It was a great stand-up fight, and I definitely recommend that.

You have guys like Tamura, who are top dogs at 145 in Shooto. From what I heard, he & Rumina Sato had a fun fight not too long ago.

Oh, Rumina Sato is freakin' awesome, and you should dig up some of his older fights. One of my all-time favorites. He's Shooto's Sakuraba.

Hatsu Hioki is a very solid 145'er, and I recommend pretty much anything from him.

The Shooto 145 class is seriously competitive. Tamura just got beat not too long ago, and he was top dog. Takeshi Inoue was a top dog, and he lost to Savant Young. Carvalho is up there. It's a stacked weight class.

As for Deep, it's a weird org. Lot's of weird fights, with pro-wrestlers and masked men and stuff. Mishima was Deep's MVP, with Ryo Chonan in second place. So, if you're looking for Deep fights, get Chonan vs Sakurai, Chonan vs Roan, Mishima vs Imanari and Mishima vs Rotten Rob Emerson. Deep's undercard is just, wow, weird. There's also the El Solar vs Minoru Suzuki fight that was, perhaps, the weirdest fight I have ever seen. Oh damn, I forgot about IMANARI!!!! Imanari is the best thing going in Deep nowadays, and one of the best 145'ers on the planet. Pretty much, any Imanari is good Imanari, except his fight with Abe, which sucked.

Here's Takaya vs Carvalho.

I had a feeling you would be the one that would help me out with this Damone, thanks a lot by the way, great suggestions. This is pretty cool, getting a whole new list of fighters to learn about. Right now I just downloaded the Rumina Sato fight with Tamura and am downloading it to my Ipod right now. I will hit up all of those links for sure. Thanks a lot.

Not a problem, kami-kami. If you want, I can recommend some more solid Shooto fights, from guys like Aoki, Kawajiri, Hansen and Gomi.

I just finished watching that Ramuni Sato Tamura fight. It was wonderful. There were so many techniques displayed. I tend to like fighters that do things in a fight that kind of opens up your mind to something new. Sato had a cool armlock attempt when Tamura had his back. Both guys had very very technical striking. Sato was really tight with his punches. Also the triangle Sato locked up, like the one on Carvolho from that weird angle was creative.

Kamikaze is now 5-0. Watch his most recent fight here.

I really like Tamura, he reminds me of a 145 pound, asian, Nick Diaz. He is super flexible and he has some sick body kicks. I can see why he would lose a fight here or there though because if someone is able to avoid subs and maintain top position they could give him problems. The Rumina Sato/Tamura fight was really good too. I also like Carvalho's stand up, he is really technical but I just dont think he is that gifted of an athlete, really fun to watch though. I need to watch some of Savant Young now.

No, did you just have them on your t.v., or could you find them on the Internet somewhere?

What site do you use again for those bets?
