Elite XC could be over

Quote:

Elite XC has been bleeding money and conceded in a recent filing with the Securities & Exchange Commission that it has lost in excess of $27 million in little more than a year. It may not, it admits in the filing, have the money to make it through the year.
Maybe time for UFC to purchase the fighters..

This isn't new info. Shaw admits that EXC has been losing obscene amounts of money. Things will look up after the CBS event.

They may look better but they may not. If they don't that will be the nail in the coffin for EliteXC.

I hate to say it, but it won't be a problem with Kimbo on the card.

Look at how much activity has spiked on this board alone as the event moves closer.

The EXC board used to average 0-3 people viewing at any given time. Now it's averaging 10-13. The CBS events will do well and they will get the money they need to continue throughout next year and beyond.

This is all just my opinion, of course. My crystal ball has mislead me before. lol.

It's all ratings and if CBS sets their sights real high and don't get the return they expected then it's game over for EliteXC.

Dana White said it a while ago, if your getting into MMA, as a promoter or to found a new organization, be ready to spend some money. I guess he knew what he was talking about, with EXC being this poor, IFL is loosing money as well and people don't expect Affliction to stay around for too long, some say maybe just a one of show. Really put it into perspective, love or hate the UFC they are doing things right. When everybody goes down, the UFC is planning on expanding to Canada, Germany and other European countries.

I wouldnt worry to much. If Elite starts to go under i think Mark Cuban would buy it.

In a year's time it's going to end up being the UFC vs. DREAM, much like it was UFC vs. Pride.

I have a feeling that WVR will merge with DREAM, and that a lot of EXC's talent will end up going to DREAM as well.

COUNT ON IT!

Exactly and they wont get the ratings they need, the UFC will counter program and sink them, nobody is going to emerge from this mess as a solid #2 promotion, the fighters are to spread out, the guys with the biggest wallet who is still standing when the smoke clears, might have a shot.
