kimbo...honestly

can any of you honestly say kimbo is any good? The MILFHUNTER bouncer has not gone more than 43 seconds in a pro mma match. He has only about a year of ground training and porobly no stamana. And the sideshow stated how now that he is pro he can't puff a BLUNT anymore which he loved to do.( i am not trying to be a troll or any thing on this board i honestly want to know)

speak for yourself zuke.

Since you are new here I'm going to go easy on you. Kimbo is a new talent who has little MMA skill it's as easy as that however he seems to be dedicated to what he is doing despite his past backyard fighting bullshit. It is sad to see someone so raw in MMA get so much hype for himself which is uncalled for and undeserved but he is charismatic and casual fans know him, basically he is an easily marketable talent. The guy has some heavy heavy hands but his boxing is meh, it's not great it's not terrible it's just ok, as for his ground game nobody has seen it yet and I doubt it's any good.

However I think people give him too much shit it's not his fault he has a hype train rolling for him he is doing what he should be doing fighting lower level guys and training consistently to do what he has to do to maybe one day take it to the next level and start working up to the top ten.

I agree my only question to you would be after MMA beingcalled human cock fighting, bein hated on by Senator McCain, and not to mention all the media that covers MMA as brutal and talks terrible about it....we all love it, thats clear! My question is out of all people to debute MMA for a National audience do you want a guy with 3 fights and a thug look Mike Tyson type(heard that on the radio and thought it made sense) being the one who is the main event of the Venue.......i know it wouldnt hapen but like a Fedor vs. Randy for the first ever network show would do the sport better....in my opinion greater caliber fighters that have studied their whole lives would maybe ease the transition to national television vs. a dude who looks hood and has three fights, he kinda fits the mold of all the haters of MMA.... thoughts????

I agree he does fit that mold but casual fans don't give two shits wether or not it's bad for the sport they think he is cool and want to see a sweet ass knockout (not all casual fans mind you), I think him being constantly called a famous streetfighter by the promotion and whatnot is just stupid and doesn't help him, the sport, or his transition to an mma fighter.

IMO I would rather see fedor or arlovski or randy debut a national television card, but that's not the case, they are doing a terrible job of transitioning kimbo from an internet thug to a real MMA fighter, I've read interviews where he has stated he is loving what he is doing and doesn't plan on doing that crap anymore, he wants to make a name for himself and will work up to it which is great, but when you have a promoter salavating at the mouth and building a hype train bigger than I have seen in some time, it's disgusting they are dong the exact opposite of what the should of done from the get go.

I think for the time being and maybe a while after kimbo is going to get a lot of flak from all sides of the MMA community the political and media comunity because of his history and looks, I think it's a shame because the only thing that pisses me off about kimbo is the hype, I wish him all the luck in the world because he is doing what makes him happy.

Lotus,

I 100% agree with everything you stated.Thats my exact feeling on the subject. The sarcastic tone in my reply was not any disrespect to Kimbo. The machine makes me sick, they make it so hard to keep a honest, non bias opinion. Shaw is disgusting.

There have been many, many, many posts on this site with regards to the legitimacy of Kimbo Slice. We are at the point now where its just time to sit back and see.

But with GAry Shaws fat hands on Kimbo...Who knows what is gonna happen. Lets just not hope its a Tyson/King thing. *fingers crossed*

I agree with Kimbo being the worst possible main event for MMA's debut to the national audiance, GSP vs Penn to me would be the perfect main event for this type of show, a pure show case of skill from two very dedicated highly skilled fighters who dont look like thugs or professional fighters at all and dont have the batttle scars of many verteran fighters.

WOW can u say PROFILING....

So, if he was white with a bald head and a beard (Tank Abbott) then it would be OK to broadcast him? LOL

the things I hear here....lets put Ken as the king of MMA and Barbie as the queen of MMA LMFAO

Do u know what ENTRETIANMENT is?

I want to see an ENTERTAINING fight with that ugly mof with the beard and the ugly bald head..I dont want to see a travis lutter fighting kalib starnes .......

Get out of here with these pathetic comments....Randy and Fedor COULD fight if they werent so damn political about making it happen....
