this was a real disrespect to mixed martial arts, to martial arts and most importantly to our struggling sport.....we had come so far, and now this was the first display the national audiencegot....very disappointed and Dana has an opportunity here, put on a special on spike and steal the whole television audience back, what crap....

EliteXC just gave the finger to all true MMA fans who even made it possible for them to air their crapfest in primetime in the first place. It made me truly sad to think that there were millions of people being introduced to MMA in this fashion. From here on I think anyone who cares about this sport should boycot anything related to this organization.

Yes, the way this was presented, a step back for MMA IMO.

- A single death is a tragedy, a million deaths is a statistic.
- It's better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

See you Space Cowboy...

but the production quality was horrible....acting was horrible....the only thing ECW had b4 WWE took over was about x10 the blood loss and cheese graters being used in every fight lol

Obviously I agree with everyone on this one. I think had the UFC been in EXCs place we would have different feelings. Although, I will say NJ's gaming comission has a history of bad calls. However, the disparity in the level of fighter's abilities between UFC and EXC are more than obvious. I think that the mainstream and casual fans should first be exposed to the best of the best, then if they are still interested they should go to B level promos like exc.
Hell, if the UFC aired an hour of fights on network tv in primetime and just showed some of their epic battles like Huerta vs Guida, Randy vs. Tim, AA vs. Buentello (who doesnt love a rapid KO?) or any of the HUNDREDS of incredible fights the UFC has had then the image of the sport would not have taken such a hit.

I don't think I'm gonna watch anymore EXC (def not on CBS).

Evil will always triumph over good...

Because good is dumb.
