Looked like Thompson was trying to whipe the sweat off Kimbo's forehead for him.

Both these fighters had a gastank that was bare-minimum.

this second round is an area where the ref couldn't have made the right decision if he would have stopped the fight then people would be complaining about how he wasn't hurt at all that was an early stoppage and now that he didn't stop it people are mad that he didn't. you cant please every one

There is an legitimate argument on both sides and their is no point to argue so as far as I am concerned LET IT BE

I agree there. I didn't see a need for a stoppage at the end of the second. So what if he had Kimbo's arm's pinned, he wasn't getting hurt. Being so close to the cage hindered Thompson's ability to really inflict any damage. It was a break for Kimbo because if they would have been out in the middle, the fight would have been over; however, Kimbo would have also had more room to maneuver from his back. Being up against the cage really put him in a jam. Lucky for the bell.

I think if it had been early in the round it would have been stopped but no damage and the bell that close its understandable.

I actually thought the fight could reasonably have been stopped in the second, Kimbo was barely defending himself, I have seen situations like that stopped. I'm glad the ref didn't stop it there, but I was surprised he didn't. Kimbo looked pretty out of it on the way back to his corner. I think he was a little messed up from all those elbows, even after the fight he was pretty out of it, I don't know if it was just the gas tank.

One thing surprised me, even though I bet on Kimbo I was worried he would be another Houston Alexander once the fight hit the ground, I thought the smart move would have been to bet on Thompson, but I bet on Kimbo anyway. Kimbo admitted he has a lot to learn on the ground, but he knew a lot more on the ground than the zero I had guessed. Kimbo is not just some backyard brawler now, lucky for my points .
