Big Networks = death for MMA

AS LONG AS MMA IS ON MAINSTREAM, MOST IF NOT ALL FIGHT WILL BE STOPPED PREMATURE. THE WILL ALSO PROBABLY START A NEW RULE OF " TOO BLOODY TO CONTINUE". WE DON"T NEED MAINSTREAM. THE BIG COMPANIES WILL PACKAGE US INTO A NICE LITTLE BOX WITH A RIBBON!


All 3 of those stoppages were ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT! I gaurantee a high level CBS came to the NJAC and said " We don't wan't anything bloody". Do any of you really think they would let BJ vs Stevenson on Primetime.

The doctors were thinking of stopping the Lawler vs Smith fight after 2 rounds because of the cut on the TOP OF LAWLERS HEAD!!

For all lets review!!!


1) Carano Fight : Stopped for a cute UNDER THE EYE.

2) Smith : A POKE IN THE EYE!

3) Slice: A BLOODY EAR?


This is not fair to the fighters. God forbid any of those ******* Reppulicans see blood.

So you think the doctors and referees were told by the networks to stop fights if anything was even close to be non-networky?

Athletic commissions have rules and regulations, I doubt they'd bend things for a network.

Yes CBS, doesn't want anything bloody, like i don't know CSI or people eating Tiger Penis, aka Survivor, or even better the morals that they show on Big Brother.

CBS has some stroke as to where events are. I bet if the refs let anything bloody go down that they may lose future events. Thats lost revenue!

With all the bad press about MMA, do you think they would let anything bad happen? Do you?

None of those shows are bloody. Most are not real. Do you think this new audience is ready for a Penn vs Stevenson for their first show. Or Ray vs. Bam Bam??

Yes, you guys are blood thirsty Americans! But do they let you see any of the dead Americans on TV? Nope they don't show any dead American Soldiers. They control what you see. You see no American dead on Fox, CNN, etc. You have to go to alternative media.
Just like in MMA you will not see any bloody fights, if it does get bloody..it will get stopped qucik.

I am not knocking American MMA fans. Just the powers that be.
