Gary Shaw has spent too much time in the boxing world.

Boxing has become corrupt, the best fighters rarely fight the best fighters, and records are inflated. In boxing a guy that people decide are going to be stars don't fight a reasonable contender for the first two years of their career. The UFC has shunned this idea (thank God). Brock Lesnar comes in and has to fight Herring and Mir in his first two fights. Gary Shaw has learned too much from boxing in over hyping fighters by making sure they have a gimmick. Also he took a play straight out of Don Kings playbook. When you have a lackluster card getting announcers, refs, and doctors that will "hold the company line".
