If Tito ends up in Elite XC like I said when I made a thread about it when CBS first annouced they were showing Elite XC it would be a death blow to the UFC = MMA mindset in the US MMA scene right now.

Look at what Randy vs Chuck 1,2,and 3 did and then look at what Tito and Chuck 1 and 2 did and then tell me Randy is a bigger draw.
I'll admit Tito was a bigger draw but a gift of a win against Forrest, a snooze fest against Rashad and a lackluter performance against Machida have all damaged Tito's ablility to draw fans, I think if they fought this year, Couture/Lidell 4 would outdraw Tito/Lidell 3.

agreed....tito aint all that and if when you posted this thread you think he would be a bigger draw for another company vs. UFC, I wold say your wrong.....but i dont need you to go get the numbers....Just think Tito aint all that and the UFC doesnt have Tito any more BUT Tito dont have the UFC either.....like I said, Like anyone can only really say....we'll have to wait and see what happens....

Where is your proof that his draw has lessened?

After the gift win against he and Chuck drew 1 million buys. 600,000 buys more than Liddell vs Couture 3.

The Snooze fest was his worst draw but guess what there were no other draws on that card and it did pretty solid.

And then the buyrate for Tito vs Machida isn't out yet but I would say considering how loud his fans were at UFC 84 his fan appeal isn't gone.

Randy has never done a PPV with more than 534,000 buys. Tito did 1 million two events before that. Tito had the highest rated season of TUF higher than Randy's. Tito had the biggest number on Spike TV with his bad blood event until UFC 75.

EDIT - No I don't think Tito would be a bigger draw for Elite XC if they were doing PPV but they aren't they are on CBS which means he will draw more fans to Elite XC and they will have more people watching than any UFC event in history.

Randy's popularity really spike though after all of that when he came out of retirement and beat Tim, Tito will not be responsible for the PPV buys for UFC 84 either BJ Penn is becoming a huge draw and his fight with Sherk was the big fight on that card..

K now you are making things up without looking at the facts. BJ is a terrible draw and really has never been able to bring in fans outside of the hardcore MMA scene.

Randy did under 500,000 buys when he fought Gonzaga so no his popularity didn't spike very much.

Do you think Tito/Gonzaga would have done any better than Couture/Gonzaga, Im using the bar I was in in my assesment of UFC 84 because everyone was talking about and hyped uo for Penn/Sherk and even more for Wandy/Jardine than they were for Machida/Ortiz.

Id also like to add Tito didnt draw that TUF audiance alone his other coach was Ken Shamrock who considering his stints in WWF during the pro wrestling boom would have brought in a large audiance of his own.

Yea If Tito was defending a title it would've done better. Tito is a bigger deal than Randy when it comes to drawing power. I like Randy but he's not the draw Tito is it's shown in the numbers. And yea Tito was teamed with Ken but Randy was teamed with Chuck.

Also yes people at bars watching UFC love BJ. They love Anderson to but those guys don't draw half of what Tito or Chuck draw.

In fact UFC 80 headlined by BJ did terrible almost as bad as UFC 72 in fact UFC 80 only out did UFC 72 by 25,000 buys.

I hope Elite XC learned a few things from this event and change quite a number of things. My main personally theory on why the Young/Carano and Smith/Lawler fights were stopped when they did was due to TV time left on the broadcast. All those overlong intro's they did, you just can't do on TV like you can on a PPV. UFC doesn't even do intros on UFN, only for the main event which I see no problem with and saves a TON of TV time.

And I think we can all agree but know they'll probably do it anyways, is having Kimbo headline.

Lidell and Couture respected each other though unlike Tito and Shamrock who were always seconds away from coming to blows besided the format for the show changed and the show was established when Ken and Tito did it., Tito knew how to play Shamrock like a fidel on that show.
