Oops yeah you are right but on a different not I guess any calls that the stoppages were early would fall on their shoulders to answer since the doctor actually works for the board so I guess he is making the boards case. Someone could easily say "That's BS we can prove the fight were fixed in someway be it o make it more pallitable for the TV audience or something else shady. Any Doctor stop for reasons not related to the safety of the fighter could be a claim but that is why the whole conspiracy is pretty ridiculous. I agree with the guy 100% but if Scott Smith is saying he said one thing and the Dr. and ref are saying he said something else then it makes it interesting. Also it looks like they did flub the 5 min rule. The fighter gets 5 mins to recoup why bombard him about his eye before that? This wouldn't even be an issue except for the reputation the Nevada board has to protect on account of gambling. The assertive condesending tone of the interview is evidence of that and annoying to me. Smith looked like he could have kept going to me. We've seen eye pokes before and plenty of broken limbs when the fight continued. What if someone had stepped in during the Couture/Gonzaga fight when Randy broke his arm? What if a ringside Dr. had noticed it and called the fight? I know there a some differences in the situation but you see my point.
