Bobby Lashley Discussion

First off... I don't know what organization he is in so I don't know where to talk about him. Considering he's the newest WWE wrestler to enter MMA and his friend Brock is here.. I decided for here.
----------------------------------------------------------

- Does anyone know where he signed to? I know it was a partial fight contract so he can continue wrestling at Indy shows.

- How do you think he will do in the world of MMA compared to Lesnar's rise to fame in the UFC with only one fight in K-1.

Lashley is built like a tank in my opinion and I think that staying in the minor organizations and working his way up will be good for him.... that way he can see if it is really for him and if he does get submitted... its not in front of millions on a PPV after a huge hype for nothing. I think it is good for his heart and good for his fans... to see him achieve success.. if it is in his future. I really don't agree with Lesnar entering the big leagues based on his name.

It will be interesting to see... I think I am rooting more for him than Brock.

General MMA discussion is the right place.

Anyways, his opponent better look out for the Powerbomb! Or even the Spear, because we all know that his opponents will stand still long enough for him.

haha (and sorry to mods who have to move this.. i didn't know where else to put it) thanks cochise**

well considering he wasn't a natural born WWE wrestler.. he only did it for 3 years. It was a part of the open casting call the WWE did that they JUST AXED today.

**LOOKING FOR ALL AMERICAN ATHLETIC MUSCLE MAN WITH LITTLE OR NO WRESTLING EXPERIENCE**

Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley were both hired during that.. just in different years... so i mean Lashley quit wrestling last year because it wasn't for him. At least he's not trying to sign with UFC and test himself out there...and get killed becuase he has no pro fights.. he's starting wherever he is now.. i know its a place i haven't heard before.

He signed with American Fight League. I hope he does well, he has a good wrestling background, and is more or less the same age as Lesnar, so he should do well, but I think he has only been trainin for around a year, so he is still green (greener still than Lesnar).

From what I remember, Lashley was in the army. So he has some training, but it will be interesting to see what he does in a match. I don't really kow if he will do like Brock does. But I hope not, I'd prefer to see someone technical rather than a wild ape, any day.

True lol.

That's why I think the American Fight League (thanks for info) is good for him... he can have a few years of training and he can have his first wins and perhaps losses there... get out his rookie status and jitters before he enters the big time if that's what is in store for him.

I wish him the best.. it would be good to see a heavyweight like him come up... when he's ready.

He will do well, his wrestling background is solid and he's a beast, he's very similar to Lesnar so I think he should be ok.

He was a Marine I believe, and during his time in the Marines he was a Marine boxing champ I believe as well.

One of the main reasons why Lashley quit was because of Michael Hayes.
