I don't think CBS really wants to suddenly unleash that type of brutality upon it's primetime, national audience so fast. There could be new fans watching that don't have the same knowledge of MMA that general fans do, so seeing a guy get choked out might be very hard for them.

Also, it was a choke, a very simple choke that some 10 year olds could have seen and demonstrated on the playground. It wasn't an armbar, which would be very hard to pull off, or do any damage if your a kid. It was a straight up strangulation.
Mmm I have never looked at it that way, maybe you are right. But the whole fight was fishy (standup from side control, bad stoppage, didn't stop the fight when Kimbo was eating elbows, etc) so I don't know.

To be honest, he was pretty much out of it before the camera panned off. JT had given it up.

One of the board ops fell asleep during the fight and when his head dropped he switched camera angles.

"Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man."

I don't think the fight is rigged at all. First, JT is can of all cans that couldn't finish an inexperienced, but powerful, Kimbo. He did successfully exposed Kimbo as a thug that he is. Second, Gary Shaw cannot let his bread and butter lose to a tomato can infront of national TV like that. Otherwise, his EXC will be laugh at by Dana White and the rest to the MMA world. hmm ... come to think of it, maybe it is rigged.

... then again, most people probably laughed at it already. However, I will give EXC one more chance to put on a great show. Hope that they learned from this first one.
