Those are big words from such a little guy. I do think he is a worthy apponite for most but to say to say he would mop the floor with anyone. I mean come on Griffin, Florian, Gomi, JZ, Aoki, Kawajiri's of the world are no slouches or push overs. No matter who they are fighting you can bet they will all bring it. I think any of those names would beat Thompson and Melendez. What is everyone else's opinion on these fighting words?

I just wanted to say thank you for posting in this section. It absolutely belongs here unless people thing Thompson was talking about the amazing 155 talent in Sport Fight or Cage Rage. LOL.

Melendez dissappointed me last night. I am sure he is upset about that but seriously, Melendez looked like he didn't know you can kick in MMA. A fighter can only do what they can do in a fight but Melendez has faced tougher competition and rose to the challenge. Last night his enterance reminded m of GSP's enterance before the Serra fluke. Melendez looked soft, slow, and lethargic. I wouldn't dog him so hard if he looked like he showed up to fight but he simply didn't. BTW, I Melendez is one of my favs so no Melendez history lessons needed.

Now to the point of the thread. No Josh Thompson, you or Gilbert are not the best 155rs in the world besides BJ. You are the YawnForce Champion. Come on over to the UFC or Dream and meet some serious competition. Aoki, Florian, Calvancante, Griffin, Clementi, Wiman, Tavares, Maynard, Edgar, Sherk, Huerta and a lot more would like to fight you.

Melendez did not show up last night so I want to see his next fight before I say the above fighters could beat him butI would pick MOST of the above mentioned and a lot more over Thompson.

Thomson's a really, really talented fighter, but seriously, I see guys like Griffin beating him. That's not me shitting on Tyson, either. I think Guida would beat him in a rematch, too. The guy should be in the UFC, though.

Oh yeah, no doubt he belongs there and Melendez too. Both would deserve to be on the televised card of any PPV too.

No doubt, he stomped Thomson and got robbed of a win against Melendez. Guida is probably the most underrated LW going, and Thomson is just adding fuel to that fire.

JP he's talking about bizarro world where everything is backwards...

That is the funniest shit I ever heard. Sean Sherk, Huerta, and Florian would give them both a beating. I am not going to even go into what BJ Penn would do them. That would be murder. News FLASH BJ PENN is the best 155lb fighter.
