Josh Thompson says he and Gilbert Melendez are the best 155 lb fighters in the world.

Here is the link in the post fight interview after Thompson vs. Melendez fight, Josh says he and Gilbert would mop the floor with anyone from any organization in the 155lbs weight class (with exception to BJ). Those are big words from such a little guy. I do think he is a worthy apponite for most but to say to say he would mop the floor with anyone. I mean come on Griffin, Florian, Gomi, JZ, Aoki, Kawajiri's of the world are no slouches or push overs. No matter who they are fighting you can bet they will all bring it. I think any of those names would beat Thompson and Melendez. What is everyone else's opinion on these fighting words?

Well lets see. Ishida just beat up Melendez, Uno beat Ishida, and Dida beat Uno so by Thomson logic Dida is THE BEST P4P FIGHTER.

I hate Thomson but I can go with this.

Really though come on now Melendez just lost to Ishida and Thomson has one really good win and a couple of solid ones.

Thomson is pretty dumb.

Mufofamm can only hope to improve
yay, another UFC washup proclaims they are the best in the world as soon as they beat a medicore and insanely overhyped paper champion. predictable.

Well, I always thought Thompsom was underrated but this is pretty outrageous. I think he could give other lightweights a run for their money, but "mop the floor?"

I love watching that high kick by Edwards any time I see it! That was insane when it happened. Thompson getting KO by Edwards in UFC 49 still deserves to be on any UFC highlight reel!
