Frank Shamrock: Deal to finalize to fight Tito is progressing nicely

http://mmamania.com/2008/07/09/frank...-nicely-video/

Tito takes the rematch by UD. Frank also talks about possibly fighting the winner of Lawler/Smith.

Nice! I'd watch that. But I got Frank Shamrock winning this. Frank's just too well rounded for Tito.

Right kick, Hospital.
Left kick, Cemetery.
-Mirko Cro Cop.

I love Frank, but at this point, Tito beats him by decision. Tito's a different fighter than when they first fought, and if this is a 3 rounder, Frank's going to lose a decision.

I really don't care to see Shamrock vs Ortiz 2. Now, Shamrock vs Lawler/Smith would be seriously fun, since it'd most likely be a stand-up fight. Frank can throw dem thangs when need be.

Lawler/Shamrock would be fun to watch and I would probably take Robbie in that fight.

I'd take Frank. I think Frank has better technical striking. he can also take a good punch and has the advantage on the ground.

Frank's wrestling is not where it needs to be with today's wave of mma fighters. His defensive guard is still superb, but he has to do something about his wrestling and not rely too much on his stand up. Not to say it's bad, he almost took Cung Le's head off with one arm.

He should stick to 185, rematch Cung Le and take on guys like Robbie Lawler, Misaki, whoever. I'm I the only guy sick of fighters calling themselves "brands" "building stories" and using mma to get into mainstream entertainment? Somewhere Nogueira and Vanderlei facepalm

That has to be the wierdiest interview I have ever seen! Cung Le breaks Franks arm and took his title in the process but wants to wait 2 years for a rematch based on the opinion that he (meaning Cung Le) is not a good promoter. A few months ago he was dying to fight this guy!

Not only that but it seems Frank has his fights planned 2 years in advance.

October 2008: Fight winner of Robbie Lawler vs. Scott Smith.
April 2009 Fight Ken Shamrock
Late 2009 Fight Tito Ortiz
2010 Avenge loss to Cung Le

These fights look appealling (Except Ken Shamrock) but still...do you know any other fighter that would make there own schedule like that?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

No I don't and he might not even have the Tito fight anymore

Another thing, whatever happened to his rematch with Renzo Gracie? Considering how that fight went you think that would have been priorty No.1.
