as embarrassing as i found the previous EXC/CBS event i thought this one was done very well from a production standpoint. CBS clearly took notice of Bill Goldberg's poor performance and replaced him, they ditched the used-up-looking retired strippers and placed the focus on the fighters. Can't argue with them keeping Shaw out of the lime-light either, although i think fighter interviews were painfully short and should have delved into future match-ups and the likes.
Can't say the matchups were particularly interesting to me other than the rematch. Even as a hardcore Diaz fan, i had trouble getting excited about that matchup.
All in all this was a far better showing than the first and i applaud CBS for making these changes. It's just too bad a EXC/CBS card seems to need Kimbo to carry it with more of their casual fans.
Makes one seriously wonder if MMA really has arrived yet. If they could muster a couple other marquee names then we might be talkin but i don't know how many big names want to sign if there are additional conditions to fighting on CBS cards, as is the roomer.
