According to the filing, restated service contracts were agreed upon with DeLuca and Shaw on July 23.
Both Shaw and DeLuca will continue to work with ProElite as consultants. Shaw’s Gary Shaw Promotions has signed a consulting agreement with ProElite through September 30, 2009. DeLuca’s consulting services will be made available through his company “Legacy of Life Entertainment.”
Both Shaw and DeLuca had been with the company since its inception in 2006. Shaw’s public role had been reduced following EliteXC’s first telecast on CBS on May 31 while DeLuca stepped down as the company’s Chief Executive Officer last February and was replaced by former YouBet Chairman Charles Champion.
After stepping down as CEO, DeLuca remained with the company on a full-time basis as Chief Strategy Officer and Chairman of the company’s board. At the time, the move was termed as a “promotion.” DeLuca will be replaced on the board as Chariman by Champion.
Joining Shaw and DeLuca as leaving the company’s Board of Directors are David Marshall and Kurt Brendlinger. Their vacancies on the board will be filled by Edward C. Hannah, Edward Corey, and Robert E. Brierley.

Well this is good in my opinion because Shaw annoyed me, but what does it mean for Pro Elite?

I definitely think the writing was on the wall for Shaw once CBS snapped up a large piece of the ownership of Pro Elite- they were going to put their people in place and bump/phase out anyone they didn't like or want so they could modify how it's run.
I think this is good overall as I also did not like Shaw but CBS has to do a MUCH better job of marketing their cards if they actually want this to succeed. They streamlined their second card much better than the first and I did read somewhere that they were using a low-key approach to the recent card to "test" out their changes. It's great they've learned to make the cards run smoother but they have to actually attempt to bring in the casual fan especially when Kimbo is not on the card if they want more viewers.

I think this means that Gary Shaw will have less of the PR dummy role he had before, and he'll keep his dumb ass comments behind the scences. If only Dana could take a hint.

Wow, this is interesting. I wonder how the new heads will go about the Kimbo issue.

Well the way I see it Shaw stopped being important in Pro Elite after the May card.
After the May card the dancers where never seen again.
If 1+1=2 in this situation than I love this move.
But honestly Shaw had some good idea that were attacked because people hated him and he went about it the wrong way.
Also he did suck at his job.

The UFC turned down the CBS television deal for precisely this point. Production wise the UFC does a great job and they didn't want anyone messing with their success by relinquishing control whatsoever.
Only time will tell if CBS will be good for MMA.

I'm nervous about the possibility of CBS taking control of the company, they really don't have any experience with MMA and it could allow them to direct the org. in a more entertainment direction. Hopefully someone who knows MMA takes over, maybe Jared Shaw....

If I were a shareholder in ProElite, I'd be happy these guys were gone but nervous about who is yet to come. If it's being controlled by CBS (and their bucketboy Showtime) I'd be scared that they could get orders from on high up the corporate ladder to cut their losses or cease opperations if some decisionmaker thinks that MMA is nothing more than a bloodsport that brings bad publicity. On the other hand it would present a fantastic opportunity for ProElite (and MMA in general) if the right people in CBS got behind this and were willing to nurture and grow the company. It's feast or famine for ProElite if CBS is in charge. I'm hoping for feast.

i like what Shaw has done recently, by staying behind the scences and keeping his mouth shut.

I doubt that was Shaw's decision.
That being said, CBS might not get the chance to take over.
