Fedor vs Couture

This fight is becoming a reality more and more every day and the anticipation is ridiculous. This fight would clear up so many questions. If Fedor wins, he is hands down the best pound-for-pound fighter. This fight, in my opinion, would be his only test in three years of destroying lesser competition. Everybody knew that Tim Silvia was going to get destroyed and that he wasn't going to be a test for Fedor. Lets face it, Tim sucks and his biggest vulnerability is submissions which is Fedor's specialty. Tim got destroyed for five rounds by Couture, then put on one of the most boring fights against Brandon Vera, then got submitted by Nogueira. Fedor doesn't gain much credibility for beating him, even if he did it in 36 seconds. Couture, on the other hand, thrives as an underdog and if you read his autobiography, you see that he wins fights most often when people think he has no chance. This is the paradox that makes this fight so amazing. If Couture wins, he probably will be done with MMA finally going out on top like he's always wanted. So on that note, a win from Fedor will do more for the sport as far as finally having a champion who can be considered the best and can dominate for a long time. I think that this fight would be the best fight in heavyweight if not all MMA history. Does anybody disagree with my thoughts?

I dunno if beating Randy would be THAT big of a statement. Randy is popular, and has won some key fights... but still, the guy's barely won more than half of his fights over the last six years.

Defecato, ergo sum.

Yeah i dont think it would be quite the mecca of all fighting, but it would certainly be an interesting fight to watch and I'm sure it would make someone alot of money.

I cant wait this fight has to happen. Just like rumbele in the jungle had to happen. Someone needs to put that money hungry sob out of his misery.
If this crap continues you will start having fighters going on strike because they dont have enough money to pay for their thirty cars. Come on fellas its the greatest sport ever its not all about the money.

WAR Fedor

It would be a big statement because Randy is considered the number 2 or 3 heavyweight on most rankings and is basically the only heavyweight left that hasn't got destroyed by Fedor with the exception of Josh Barnett, who got beat by Mirko 3 times and Nogueira once, and Andrei Arlovski, who got beat by Tim Silvia twice. And Couture and Fedor are the two most respectful fighters with good sportsmanship. And Randy hasn't lost a Heavyweight fight since Ricco Rodriguez who got a lucky elbow that broke a bone in his eye socket and forced him to concede. It is almost certain that Fedor will win, but you can never count Randy out of a fight, even at 45. People just need to get off Fedor's junk, he's awesome, but until he fights some better competition, he's not going to be the best fighter alive to me.

This fight isn't going to happen, it's no longer interesting or relevant, and Couture is overrated and Fedor raping him like he will won' prove anything.

Yepp, I agree.

I just don't see this fight ever happening. I'm pretty sure Coture has a movie coming out soon hahaha. I just don't see this happening.

And you can call me crazy, but I really don't care if it happens or not, it's an easy with for Fedor.

Well it may happen it may not.

But if it did and fedor wins by a flash KO and the fight is called quickly and justly, but we never really got our answer would it have been worth having watched?
