Anyone else picking Mitsuoka to beat Damm @ WVR?

I'm having a tough time deciding a winner in this fight, but I'm leaning towards Mitsuoka because of the level of competition he's faced, and his success against said competition. I don't know much about Damm, but I've heard pretty positive things, I'm just not convinced.

Should I stick with Eiji, or should I change my pick to Rodrigo?

I have Damm in this fight, since I think he has better stand-up and if Mitsuoka gets him down, Damm could tap him. But, Mitsuoka could win this. Tough fight, actually, but I really like Rodrigo here. He was more ways to win.

You're right Damone. I just checked out a few of Damm's fights, and I now see why Mitsuoka's the underdog. Damm has really good takedown defense, slick submission transitions, and he's quite aggressive on the feet.

I watched Mitsuoka's biggest win against an uncharacteristic Joachim Hansen, and I wasn't too impressed. He has good top control, but he really doesn't get much done from there. When he's on the bottom he tends to close guard and hold on in order to get back on the feet.. his wrestling's okay, but I'd give the edge to Damm upon watching more of his fights.

I've now picked Damm to win via UD because Eiji is one tough bastard. Should be an interesting scrap though!

I'm finding it very hard aswell, but because I really like Eiji and I don't really like Damm after that silly win against Masvidal. Not his fault I know, I just like Masvidal and hated that stoppage.

Damm is the favourite for a reason, as Damone says, many more ways to win. Can't really think of a way Mitsuoka would win unfortunately I don't really see him KOing or subbing Rodrigo, maybe he could decision him.

Damm has bricks for hands, and he's pretty well rounded, but Mitsuoka's ground game is insane.

Deep down I want to go for Mitsuoka, but a Gomi vs Damm fight would be really really fun.

So I'm torn ATM.

I was very sad about the Masvidal fight. Ah well, as you said, not Damm's fault.

Fedor>all, Hansen fought like freakin' Yushin Okami in the Mitsuoka fight. No clue why he did, but he did. A baffling performance from Hell Boy.

I remember Mitsuoka as the guy who got subbed twice by Chris Brennan in the same fight. He's gotten so much better since then.

Gomi vs Damm would be insanely fun. Hell, Gomi vs Masvidal would rule, too. Gomi vs anyone would rule.

Man, this whole GP should freakin' rule. How cool is it that we're having a hard time picking a winner in this fight?

joppp, he picked Damm via decision in the end

As I did after reading this topic, i'm very annoyed with myself for letting others influence my picks. Especially as I really like Eiji.

Shame about Nastula
