Fabricio Camoes talks about his win over Sammy Morgan and his desire to face KJ Noons.
On his win over Sammy Morgan...
"I was surprised to finish the fight that quick. I knew he was a big guy and has had some good matches. I was trained and well-prepared, but I didn’t expect to win that fast."
"I expected to stand up with him in this fight. I’ve been getting a lot of good work out here on my standup game. My gameplan was to standup with him, but I’m a Jiu Jitsu fighter man. As soon as I have an opportunity to finish a fight, I finish it. I didn’t expect it to come that quick, but if the opportunity comes early, thank God I’m strong enough and smart enough to capitalize on it."
On working with Diego Sanchez...
"We train together every day man. Since I came here, we’ve been like brothers. He helped me a lot. We are together all of the time after we train. Diego is a wonderful kid. I am so grateful to be able to learn from him and help him with his training too."
On his desire to face KJ Noons...
"I think KJ Noons’ weak points are my strong points. He has very good standup and he knocks out some guys, but like I told you before man, I am prepared for any kind of fight inside of the cage. I worked so hard to do that so I want the opportunity to show everybody how tough the training is here. I train with a couple of boxers too and those guys give me a hard time with standup, but I think I have a good chin. I know KJ has heavy hands, but you know what, a fight is a fight man so he goes to war with his weapons and I come to the war with my weapons and we’ll see who the best is."
